pharoahsanders. He has the Nitro NJS bars, is it B123?
Were you the guy also talking to him at the end?
-
• #3528
Cheers, yup I was chatting to him about his bike and my mercian. The drop in the bars is too big but sure they are nitto 123s too

Much rep to HoKe for the shouty advice on the track today (excerpt: "GET ON HIS WHEEL!!"), the oranges and the company. Great day for it. Will try and introduce myself next week tommmmmmm.
As it goes, does anyone have a space in the containers they aren't using? Happy to pay to swap (or does it not work like this?). I can't make it to Monday nights and therefore start racing until I have a spot for my bike at the track :( I'm on the list tho.
I only shout cuz I care!
Also who was the guys who was riding the two tri-spokz, full carbon frame and skinsuit during the track skills session? Strong look.

He's from france, it's the only bike he has with him, and he isn't accredited so can't do anything more advanced. Nice guy too.

Nice to see many familiar faces down there today.
PQR they are Nitto B125 bars. Same shape but not as much drop as the 123s. My back would protest at the drop of the 123s.

He was a nice chap, his wheels made a very nice noise, and he had no boeuf at all about having to do a 'basic' session despite obviously being used to a more advanced level of riding.
It was a pretty distinctive look though!

That sprint session yesterday hurt, my legs still aren't right!

He is from France but is living in England. Nice guy and was paired up with him for a bit. Slightly different ways of doing things.

125s? I'll look into them as the 123s on the mercian just don't feel that comfy when on the drops.
-
• #3535
The 125s are a 150mm drop vs 175mm on the 123s IIRC. You are welcome to do some laps on the Mather to get a sense of them next time I see you at the track if you want.

Assume Inters was cancelled?
Looks like rain has stopped ... think I'll go down for 12o'clock training ...
-
• #3537
Big thanks to the other three at Inters this morning; really good hour.
-
• #3538
I waited for a half hour - I guess I'll consider myself punished for lack of patience.

• #3539
Is inters canceled when it rains?
Didn't seem that heavy, ridden the track in worse.
New safety first policy since the accidents? -
• #3540
The rain was falling heavily at around 10am in Herne Hill. Cleared up by 11.
The policy AFAIK is no riding in heavy rain, but it's fine in light rain. -
• #3541
Also - who wants to do through and off riding bang on the wheel in front when it's kicking up a fountain of water straight into your face? Not me.
-
• #3542
MDO, wish I made it on Sat. Although I got my fair share of rain yesterday during 'race' training at HH. Although we did endurance SQT, I guess for safety. Twas a good session!

Where was everybody? Good session today like the old herne hill days only 23 riders and the weather was glorious. Pace was slower than it has been the last couple of weeks, but still enough to make me ache.
Gonna miss the track for the next couple of weekends, what with trying to get bike oop t'yorkshire for the tour, but hopefully the lay off won't mean I'm worse when I come back..

I'm guessing a few people would have been saving themselves for the Brixton super mad tomorrow. I just wanted to sleep.

Or VCL day at the Pringle this afternoon.

I bought a 50t chainring during the week to swap from a 48x14 to a 50x15...but unfortunately my chain was maybe 1 link too short to run a 15t so I was forced to run 50x14....ouch!

Scoot and I were camping in Kent with her family. Last week was really good, felt like it ripped my legs off though.
I was on track skills today. Was ok but a couple of interesting erm.....styles. Does anyone have Tim/Robin Mathers forum name as was meant to ask him what bars he has
