  • ^^ yeah the session does runs through the winter but will start at 11 instead, but as you mention you have to bring your own bike

^ for the crash, the kid was alright a few cuts and bruises but he was more in shock because of the crash (hopefully nothing broken) the crash happened on the second to last lap when just a clash of wheels with another rider on the back straight, hopefully this helps.

  • Cheers HoKe

  • Cheers guys, no bike as yet, will come along when I get some cash together to buy one... hope it stays dry this Saturday, want to get a run out before the end of the season.

  • If I want to turn up to the youth session with some friends on Saturday, do I need to bring a parent or guardian?

  • Thanks kopopk, it is the last week, that's why I'm so desperate to make it!

  • Indra Ripper all you need to bring is contact details and £2 each. I think this is the last week for the youth though..

    Are you sure about that?

Anyone under 18, riding at HH for the first time, would need to have a parental consent form filled out by a parent or guardian.

It depends if he's ridden there before and there is already a consent form on file.

  • Ah crap, I rode there a couple of times when I was around 10 or 11 but the two friends I am brining haven't, is there any way to get the forms online?
    Indra

  • I could not find any forms to download on the HH website. To guarantee to be able to ride today, I would've thought you'd need to persuade one of your parents guardian to accompany you. I'm sure there is something you can do to strike a deal with your parents!

Good luck and if you do get to ride, smile alot it makes it more fun.

  • Picked a hell of a day to finally move up to intermediates... Cold and windy. Dropped off at the very end, was totally frozen. Glad I did it before the winter though!

  • Just home from my induction. It was totally fantastic, and thankfully the rain held off. Feel utterly broken now having sat down, but I can't wait to get back down there.
A couple of the HH guys said there might be more sessions through the winter for beginners, they're just trying to persuade the coaches/sort out days.
There are non coached slower sessions for people with their own bikes as well, would any other beginners be up for doing this?

  • Thanks to all the HH volunteers that have made the beginners sessions so great, see you all in the spring!

  • I went to the youth session today with a friend, parental consent forms were not needed.
Rode my own bike, felt like a complete fool.
If anyone saw a Langster steel with two Aerospokes there today......

Why did you feel like a fool? You cannot as feel as foolish as your other friend who didn't come with you today. Who had the most fun today? Did you smile alot?

  • I had great fun, definitely comin back at least twice a month next year.
I felt silly because my bikes kinda flashy but I have next to no experience on the track lol

  • Is beginner training on Saturdays finished for the year? I've been meaning to go for many months now but work has got in the way, now I have free time the sessions are no longer on the live calendar until March next year lol.

  • I was in the same situation as you but with school and stuff, I finally managed to get down last week for the last week of season. I started talking to the dude renting out bikes to people and he said they might squeez a session in this week if the weather was ok, he said check the website an twitter.
If I see that it's on then I'll post here.

  • There is going to be an intermediate track session this Saturday at 11am

  • Just FYI, the winter Saturday sessions are a steady 1.5 hr chain gang style session for intermediate and advanced riders. It's not going to be a carbon copy of the summer intermediate sessions.
