  • Is it dry yet?

  • Yes

  • Just did the induction and basic training. Thanks to all the coaches for a well run and incredibly fun session.

  • Herne Hill - best cycling venue in London

  • Weather looking good for Saturday training

  • Yeah, another week's worth of rain.

  • Forecast getting increasingly less optimistic

It's wet and drizzly in SE24. Doesn't look likely for much riding today.

  • OK, that resolves it.

The Big Ride it is. A slow tootle from Park Lane to Blackfriars.

3 miles? Are you sure it's a big ride!?

  • If I'm on it is is

  • Go smash it clive! And post the strava segment

  • Make sure you're in a totally aero tuck the whole way.

  • I'm down at Herne Hill now. It's bone dry, and we've just done an awesome whistle training sandwich (with the filling being a 20k scratch race). Glad I made the journey. It's like the eye of the storm down here.

  • ...

  • Nice meeting a few forumers there today, shame my knee blew up
gonna get cycle fitted to find out what geometry would work best

Who took the photos too/where can I see them?

  • anyone?

  • I was taking some photos from 1.30, but only in preparation for the open event I the afternoon. Didnt keep any of the images from basic training.

  • Any photos from th open meet surfaced yet, TV?

  • Just pm-ed you but Andy beat me to it. Sorry the quality is a bit variable. First time I have done photos for an event. There was an Asian guy with an awesome camera at the track - would be good if we could find his photos online.

  • Nice work!... Getting good shots at the track is hard unless it's really sunny. Some good ones there though!

I think the Asian guy you saw was with the Chinese film crew who were following Alex (the sandbagger from London Pheonix) around.

I think the LondonCycleSport guy was there too.
