As a regular at the intermediate sessions on Saturdays, can I just say how objectionable it is that some of the supposed hot shots of the Suday sessions are seeking to sandbag their way into riding with us. Do they realise that we don't race in the intermediates but just do whistle training and rotation? We are collaborative not competitive.

It's OK Clive. They will just "go off the front" and get lost.

Right, all the people I want to hang out with will be at intermediates, yet my ability is beginners.
What to do. (Constraint of being out of house for two hours).
See you tomorrow, maybe.

Do the begintermediates session.

Typically illuminating. Do you have an etymology of that?
If you're there tomorrow it'd be good to see you.
BTW, a joke for you:

Good turnout this morning, given how cold it was. You could see who'd been training or not this winter from track side.

It was outrageously fast from the outset.
Good to see so many people though, when i could get my breath back enough to speak.

That was a great session. Amazing turnout as well, I can't believe so many people came.
I feel pleasantly faster than last year. -

It was so so good to be back, and see so many familliar faces & regulars from last few years. I had forgotten about the sense of community that revolves around Herne Hill.
The session went better than expected for me, but I'm still not quite at the level of fitness I wanted to be at by now, as my 'winter training' has lulled off over the last few weeks.
I'm glad that I hit my weight loss target for the start of the season, but now concearned that I have lost the weight from the wrong places... But hopefully if i get my head down and do some good training over the next month or so, that will work itself out.And I'm loving the carbon!
Would love to come to RPM's session tomorrow, but I think I will leave the Sunday sessions for a few more weeks.

teeny little observation - If you're turning up for an induction on the track then there's a reason you're being assesed - Primarily for your safety and the safety of others on the track
When one of the coaching staff mentions your riding style and capabilities to you then take heed - don't mouth off like a slapped child [Yup, I'm talking to a particular 5th floor 'crew' member]
My safety and your safety on the track depends on this so try listening to coach eh!

Pwned... Just got back from the Regent, where was everyone?
Me?
No point in rushing and getting stressed, I'll be a calm influence amongst the chaos. + with work I won't be able to make many Saturdays at all.
