You're easily pleased!
Play on words...
I do quite enjoy going round and round in circles though, especially when the coaches slowly crank it up and the group is slowly whittled down.

Have you ever been left in or do you watch the 'whittling' from track centre?
Ha Ha LOL

I've done both, and also been the whittler. I can say that it can get pretty tough riding at the front for the whole exercise in the wind*. The pace goes up to a point but then levels out, it's because everyone is getting tired that they think the speed is still rising.
*especially for a "fat sprinter" with no endurance.

Guy won't be happy you've called him that.

the entire focus of my winter training has been to make sure that I'm fit enough to sit at the front and whittle!

My winter training has consisted of trying to complete the prep stage but regularly getting ill or overworking so I had to keep starting from scratch. I feel about as fat and unfit as it's possible to be right now and all the big muscles in my legs seem to have disappeared. No whittling for me.

I may have failed miserably of course, in which case I'm out the back with 20 laps to go.

I just need to change a couple of things on my bike tonight but will be in for tomorrow.
I don't suppose anyone is heading over from Ealing and fancies a slow role down in time for the inductions & n00b training do they?

I came to several intermediate sessions the year before last, but only managed to make it to one at the beginning of last year. Would I be best off starting in beginners?

Being a footballer, you wouldn't know.

I don't think I've ever seen Senor Bear actually riding at HH.

his post count on this thread vs actual riding time is quite a large discrepancy

Didn't fancy paying £66 for some B125s and I didn't get my BB swapped out either... Meh... See you in The Regent... Unless we go out, in which case I won't see you at all... x

May be a good idea, just to get comfortable/confident with riding on the track again.

I'll have you know I did a very hard turbo session* yesterday.
*Sufferfest, Downward Spiral. Gave up half way through

Tomorrow is gonna be a riot :)
I forecast a busy morning for you Rob
I adjusted my bearings last weekend at home = no play, took wheels to HH and when I put them in forks, play in bearings. Thought bearings got tighter under compression FFS.
