  • Not to say I have either, but I don't have a car. So thats ok.

  • dont pop a blood vessil you little penis
All prejudice has it's roots in stereotyping. There is no excuse for keeping it alive.
If people could learn to judge people on their own merits rather than some bullshit they've been fed by others the world would be a far better place.

But then maybe you've never been on the receiving end of racism or homophobia.

  • +1
A lambo? You really care if that get scratched? He probably hasn't done a proper day's work in his life.

I do and it's not even my car

  • cancels lp560-4 order

  • But then maybe you've never been on the receiving end of racism or homophobia.

How the fuck can you even make that comment. You don't know anything about the guy

    .

  • Mine was a question.
    Yours was a statement.

    There's a world of difference.

  • From the creators of Air Bud! It must be god.

  • I'm with the roadsweeper on this one

  • OK Here is what really happened.

A guy in his lovely new anthracite Lamborgini ( not that it matters that it was a Lamborghini, or new ), who he had worked hard for all his life and had every right to drive it in the centre of London in rush hour decided to pull out in front of a cyclist who was traveling close to 20mph. The cyclist saw it coming and had slowed his speed considerably in the 5 seconds before impact. But instead of impact, the cyclist dismounted. Asked the guy if it was his car, and praised him for such a nice car and how hard he must have worked in order to afford such a beautiful piece of machinery.

Cyclist said to driver, did you not see my coming towards you at 20 odd mph? Driver replied, yes, but you looked skilful enough to stop before you hit me, even with your bad knee which is why you have a front brake is it not? Cyclist commented the driver on his observational skills.

Cyclist then commented on the size of said drivers knob, remarking on how jealous he was of the masterful penis. Cyclist the said that dribver should be more careful because hitting a cyclist might damage the car he had worked so hard for, and we can't have that.

Cyclist then shook drivers hand, gave him £20 for any damage that may or may not have happened. Everyone went away smiling

  • The car was in the middle of the road. It had puled all the way out in front of me without even looking, or worse still, with scant regards to my safety.

Add this statement to your earlier assertions that you were
    a)drunk,
b)not using your knees to brake, just your front brake, and
c)still easily able to stop in time

I am wondering if the reason he pulled out in front of you is in fact because he had looked and seen that you were fucking miles away?

  • it's not a lambo, but… actual footage from event

  • ...but i pay more attention to and have more respect for people that calmly and sensibly put there point across.

Scott, I am sure you do and are a nice person but you have been posting how good and generous you are all over the forum this week. I find it a bit strange.

that should be a cycling fairy tail

  • The world doesn't need changing. Only some peoples attitudes...maybe if the driver had had the potential danger of what he did explained to him calmly he may have had more respect and in future driven with more care and attention...course, he might not...but i pay more attention to and have more respect for people that calmly and sensibly put there point across.

I tried this calm , explaining approach last week when a driver in Golders Green nearly wiped me out as I was going around a roundabout with the right of way. Unfortunetly part way through my very calm and collected explanation her mobile phone rang and she felt compelled to answer it and listen to the caller rather than me :-(

  • course he could just have saved up for months to hire the car for the weekend. And now he has to work double shift in his shitty job cleaning up toxic waste with a cotton bud down a crocodile infested coal-mine just to pay the insurance excess.

@p!mp, sorry about that, I was right behind you and thought phoning her would be funny ;-)

  • Nevermind eh...that feeling will pass with time.

but passing judgement on people and posting on and on about how wrong they are is not so noble.

  • Sorry, I don't know many people on here, and at the risk of being a cock myself, I have no respect for mikeC at all. To be honest, that kind of behaviour is despicable. Did you ride on, or, stop and swap details for the damage/insurance claim? I know this is going to make me sound like a dick, but, I genuinely hope you didn't stop and the lambo guy has gone to the police. I hope the police track down this thread and make an example of you.

I know I sound like a dick, but, you are a bigger dick.

And, before anyone says anything about "it's easy for you to say, behind your pc, you are welcome to come round to the west drinks next thursday, I will be there, ask me about my opinion on this and I will tell anyone, verbally, face to face the same thing.

Where as congratulating someones right to ride into and potentially damage to someone else's property is?

are you having a fucking laugh. I hit him at about 3mph! Damages? Police. Christ almighty give me a break
this guy pulled out in front of me when I was cycling at 20mph

And not one person has even considered the possibility that I could have been seriously injured

Fuck off the lot of you. Seriously

  • a rich for nothing little twat

    How do you know him?

EDIT: dealt with by those who've been on this thread all morning

  • I know I sound like a dick...

Your on a internet forum. You fit in well.

  • And not one person has even considered the possibility that I could have been seriously injured

I think you would have said if you were. you wern't injured, so, your point is, pointless. You hit him, you stated yourself that you could have avoided him.

  • Shame...but doesn't mean we stop trying.

I agree, I have given up shouting and swearing. hopefully calm and collected works better. I am also rather pissed with myself for not realising sooner what was going to happen. In my nievety I thought that signalling with my arm out and the fact that I had my lights on would be enough, over confidence fail!
