mmcarthy, I'll let you touch my paul e-levers, they're very shiny and I know you are after one.
Sorry, only interested if I can buy it, it's for a friend.
Is it a superbrakelever? He's only interested in superbrakelevers.
I've said quite a few times that personally I don't have any interest in driving/owning a supercar, regardless of money.

My bike is a super bike.

But non-supercars also get vandelised on a daily basis, so I don't see the point of the first point.
Fair enough on the second point, it's a pretty small difference though, for example on my beach cruiser it takes 5 minutes more to travel 8 miles than my fixed, despite the fact that it's exactly twice the weight and has tyres that are 3 times wider. You are slow though. Faster riders get more benefit from better equipment. :P

My bike is a super bike.
Sell it and buy something more sensible and give the money to charity?

What? Hippy drives an old Shitsubishi Magna? For some reason I thought you liked quality products... Do your bikes leave puddles of oil on the garage floor too ;)
Anyway, I love cars. But I the biggest engined car I ever had was 2ltr. Still wouldnt ride my bike into a lambo though. AMG merc, different story. It's my parent's old car and for this reason was cheap. It runs very well considering it's 20 years old. My bikes leave grease stains in my flat.. in fact they've shed more oil and grease than the car ever did.
I've ridden into a couple of Fords, a Honda and maybe clipped a BMW. Far more drivers have driven into me so I reckon it's only fair.

When the hell did Greasy Slag buy that?
Ha!

No, you cannot compare them.
Why is an expensive bike wrong for riding around the city?
It doesn't produce more pollution and would in fact be more efficient hence requiring the rider to need as much food.
Bike vs. Car comparison is null and void.
If you buy a super car to drive at 20 mph around London. I think you're a bit of a cock.
If you buy a 6k road bike to sit next to at cafe's. I think you're a bit of a cock
The difference is the cock with the road bike is at least promoting something positive. Whereas* the cock with the super car is promoting death of our planet and little kittens. I mean look at them .....

Fair game, I cant comment anyway as I had 3 old Peugeot that I always insisted were reliable. And my first car was an inherited Sigma anyway.

plus lots.
when they start imbuing machines with human qualities e.g Renault Megane ad (shake dat ass) that’s when things get really twisted, and minds go off kilter.I would say its called reification although im not as brainy as Greasy so could be just showing off pretending to be clever and am gona go back to riding bikes im better at that thangew. For what problem is "I know, i'll buy a car with an arse of its own." the solution?
-
• #1268
er, I think you are trying to ask me why is it a problem that car adverts imbue their metal machines with human qualities, is that right?
