  • Nice! Mine's in customs and should be here Thursday.

Plus one or two others showing up....

  • have you seen some of the old soviet watches? You can find them "nos" with a purported rating of 700m. Not sure if that's true or not.

I prefer my vyper and the gf prefers her d6 for that sort of thing.

    want want want.

  • I love the look of those seamasters. I've got a Seamaster Aqua Terra. Like this:

And am thinking I'd quite like a leather-strapped seamaster like the above. They seem quite popular on here too.

  • One of a couple of new acquisitions. Murts, this one is your fault. :)

  • hehe, you git.
good buy, and a bargain too

  • Is anyone here a member of "thewatchforum.co.uk"?
I've been waiting for my membership to be approved for AGES and I was wondering if someone could poke a mod for me? (I don't have the permissions to do it myself)

  • The reason I'm trying to get in there is to find a little more out about this little beauty.
It was my Grandfather's present for 25 years of service at work.
I'm determined to get it restored!

  • That's a beautiful thing, hope the resto goes well. Love the patina on the face.

  • that is nice, whatever you do dont be persuaded to do anything to the face. the hands look like they might have had fluorescent inserts in them. does it work at all? rest assured though, replacing parts should be easy for such a popular brand.

  • and timely timepiece... notice the hour and minute arms that are aeroplanes flying through the volcano ash

  • As the smoke barely clears one brand is already seeking to capitalize on all the chaos and disruption caused by Iceland’s Eyjafjallajökull. Not surprisingly it’s Romain Jerome. The watch-maker is renowned for creating unique timepieces that celebrate momentous occasions in our history, such as the sinking of the Titanic or the arrival of Man on the Moon. This latest piece has been designed the capture the raw power and emotion elicited by the erupting volcano and to be honest, it looks pretty amazing.

  • Its a bit, Lord of the Rings.

  • For CoppiThat.

    Zeon reissues Braun watches.

  • reminds me of electric shavers.

  • funnyThat.

  • andy.w thanks for that. i wonder if they'll do the complete range. for years i always thought all their watches were of super simple design with non cluttered dials and am always amazed at how busy the dials got. the ones i have are the cheaper (relatively speaking) simpler dials and one that looks like it was free with petrol

if you like braun i just found this.

  • Brief snippet in May edition of Wallpaper, and it says they will be doing a limited run of all the watches.

  • *and t*o be honest, it looks pretty fucking stupid

    *fixed

  • i bought a watch today

  • pics or didnt happen

  • i promise a pic tomorow when i get somebody with a more learned eye to look at it.................but only if it's really what it says on the dial.

  • Very upsetting.

Looks like some repairs are in order... Still keeps perfect time though ;)

  • oh dear , how did that happen?
