and seller will accept an offer so you might get it for 600 maybe which would be so cheap.

  • Anyone selling?
I'm in the market for a nice automatic. Simple, small, black face ideally!

A Seamaster would be ideal...something along those lines.

  • these are really great.

love this one, but there are many others...

  • hehe... £38 with automatic movement.

Assuming its a fake that's about £30 too much.

  • reading this thread made me remember that years and years ago my dad gave me one of these:

    /attachments/23228

which I never wore because I had another watch I prefered and also because the strap was too long. Tidying up this weekend I found it and realise I like it and want to wear it. Only trouble is the strap is still too long and I'm not sure how I take out links to shorten it? Anyone have any ideas? I could always take it to a jeweler but would be better to do it myself.

According to this website: HOW TO BUY A SEIKO 6139-600x CHRONOGRAPH - A Collector's Buying Guide - Watchuseek, world's largest & highest trafficked Watch Forum site (I couldn't link to the pic unfortunately) it is a fishbone one.

  • fishbone bracelets have screws near the clasp that can easily be removed for shortening of the strap you could also try moving the clasp pins. hope that helps

  • Cheers Coppi - I'll have a go!

  • do it on a large cotton sheet or with your hands (and watch) inside a clear plastic bag as those pesky springs sometimes have a tendency to jettison without warning.

  • Been spending the last week missing out on some lovely time pieces on the bay but finally got one last night.

I do like blue watch faces for some reason. One or two others being tracked as well.... *taps nose

  • Speaking of fake and moody, any orders for me to bring back from KL? I'll do this for anyone I know outside the forum (it's a trust thing) - just PM me a link to what you want and how much you're prepared to pay and I'll go haggle for you. I have family here so will go to a decent dealer, but you get what you pay for. I'm off diving for a week, but will sort it out when I get back.

  • Markyboy - were are you diving? Dang it, must chat about that next time I'm South and you're back
