the date is on the right... Whats the 6 on the left? Month?
Saw Stonehedge's Armada last night. Lovely looking watch. Too bad its so small.

It's a GMT, so you either add or subtract the hours from the time shown.
That's showing minus six, so the time would be twelve minutes past four.

I guess the idea is that if you're travelling to new places you may forget what the difference is. Does anyone make a sort of jumping GMT, so one where you press a button and it jumps to another pre-set time zone?
On Nomos, the Club Datum is my favourite. It just comes across as such a clear, unpretentious, and well designed allrounder :

That looks really clean. Not sure about the "Naked" brand name though. It comes across as a little too "FCUK". The dude also needs to cheer up a bit.

No maths needed. It's a great watch. Your 'home' hour is displayed in the window at 3 o'clock (not date). The -6 shows the hours difference from your 'home' time to the 'local' time (analogue hands).
(Home and local might be the other way round)

Thanks m8,
that makes more sense, but I still don't see the need for the window at 9 o'clock if all the information is given by the analogue hands and the window at 3 o'clock.anyway, i ordered a glasshute catalogue for use as a coffee table book. that was likely a mistake as I will undoubtedly convince myself that I need to drop EUR3000 on my next watch.

Nomos world time calibre:
This is cool (whilst the sun is shining):
This is how it works:- Position the sundial so the sun shines
onto it. - Set the correct date in the middle
ring on the hole. - Let the sundial hang freely from the
thread, with the hole towards the sun. - A ray of sun on the inside of the ring
shows the correct time.
- Position the sundial so the sun shines
