A couple of years ago I was able to buy a Maurice Lacroix at cost which was 70% off RRP. I didn't though as they is a bit whack.
I was looking at the Decentrique
Scheidt.

I worked on the re-positioning of ML from gaudy timepieces to where they are now but missed getting their advertising in. They as a company are alright and their watches now are a million miles from where they were.
csb etc.

swiss?
The whole French (ok francoswiss) fine horology thing can GTFO imo.
I hate the idea of a diamond encrusted, lunar phase, italic faced, willy wonka watch.
That Maurice Lacroix. (Christ even typing that makes me wretch)
Orrible.

I like that they're trying something new. Something different. It's not everyone's taste but neither is an areal atom.

i'm with ordinata - they fucking stink. willy wonka watch, indeed.

As a relative newcomer to an interest in watches I still rate ease of telling the time as top of my priority list when assessing a watch. Whether it costs ten quid or ten grand. If you want to buy a watch that has its insides on the out you might as well go buy a bracelet.

Want dress watch. Budget £350, any ideas?
Ideally no second hand and plain face (no logo).

Ladies or gents ? Strap or bracelet ? Steel or gold plated ?

When I saw no second hand I thought you were discounting pre-owned so I came up with this.
But after rereading, I'll search again.

Just picked up a new G-Shock in stealth mode. It totally rocks. Atomic timekeeping, solar power cell, auto backlight, and lots of other funky little features. Loads of watch for £80 reduced from around £200. Happy bunny :)

Zed - pay a bit more and pick a Junghans Max Bill. I have one that ashamedly I hardly ever wear but they are seriously beautiful. Possibly 'the' iconic dress watch of all dress watches.
