Got it evaluated and he says it's got a different strap (and not worth what I paid for it) that's from different older watch. If it says it's mint on ebay, can I dispute it and get my money back? Anyone got advice please help.

Loved the look of that Steinhart, my favourite are the classic pilot one and the aviation.

Open a dispute on ebay, this starts by you sending an email to the seller with your worries/demands. If they can't satisfy you* then you can report it to ebay and they'll step in. If the description was wrong, then you have a pretty strong argument. I got my money back immediately when I escalated it to ebay, but that was only £6.
Good luck!*ifyouknowwhatimean

raised a concern with the seller.
Ebay advert says its both MINT and Stunning and the Watch dude said its neither. I hope that is sufficient. -

steinhart // in a couple of weeks
Steinhart's weeks seem to have got longer recently, but the 2824 movement watches may be imminent. Pre-orders on the gmt models are looking like July. :(

I was thinking about this off the back of the Lazer sale thread. With interest rates being shit and all how do watches stack up as a medium to long term investment. I'm thinking about 5-15 years.
This JLC Futurematic caught my eye.

This one looks to be in amazing condition and has all the boxes etc.
In terms of ongoing costs the only ones I can think of are insurance and servicing - any others? Also how would a vintage automatic fare if it was not in use? I know you can get those winding machines, but then is there a risk of requiring more servicing?

that was my previous watch. I still have it, it's awesome.

My current watch (not my photo). I got the same strap. It's a Pebble smartwatch with a NATO strap.

^^ Hot.

How do you find the pebble? Heard there have been teething problems. Do you team it with iPhone or android? Very interested in one myself.

If its not in use the the oils will go sticky. But if you're looking to preserve it I wouldn't use it, or use a watch winder. A ziplock bag with a few of those silica bags would be fine

Archie Luxury could do with buying a luxury microphone, because he sounds like a bogan dalek.

Photoben, I love it. Offcourse there are some issues. Sometimes the screen crashes but a reboot solves it. Happened twice so far.
While wearing this watch I crashed into a wall (not on purpose). The screen wasn't readable anymore because of all the scratches. I took it to someone I know who paints piano's. He was able to polish the watch and 99% of the scratches are gone. Looks almost new. If you tilt the watch you can see them but when you look directly into the watch it's ok.
