  • If you've got slim wrists, then midsize is the way to go.

  • If I may, this review of Chainbreaker's watch is worth watching.

Omega Seamaster Quartz and Automatic - Paul Pluta Prestige Watch Review Special - YouTube

    Snigger.

  • I still like the look of it though. Its nice.

  • ^^ That is fucking brilliant

  • lol posted the wrong ebay link.
speaking to my uncle the watch guru so he will hopefully sort me out

  • That video review was hilarious. I feel bad for Chainy now.

  • Best video ever...

  • Comedy Gold!

  • Just listened to some of his other videos.

What watch should you wear to a wedding?
"...a Rolex day date in yellow gold would be okay, provided you work as a pimp or collection agent".

    Guy is a hero.

  • Im having it appraised and checked out today. Lets see what comes back...

I dont mind it so much. In terms of Paul's discription, its my frist expensive watch which i thought was classy. Meh.

  • Haters gonna hate. It tells the time.

  • Ill just wear it when i go to Jewel or APT or Searcys

Sure to pick up some floss

  • class!!!

  • Seiko fans a quick question:
Looking at a SKX009 (pepsi dial diver watch)
    Comes in 1 of 2 movements J or K
am i right in thinking J is in house and K is made outside of Japan?
Any reason to chose one over the other?

Ive found them on a website for similar money (J1 £134 with rubber strap, K2 £131 with a metal bracelet)

I'm thinking about doing a similar thing. From looking more closely and reading around I think the steel bracelet looks a bit cheap. Lots of people recommend the oyster on (just search eaby/google). J vs K may affect the resale value... but on a £150 watch what sort of margin are you really talking about?

The thing that always puts me off about the 007/009 is the cheap looking dial. My plan is to try and have one replaced with one of the Yobokeis ones. Ideally I'd like blue to match the besle, but can't seem to find one. These were the sort of numbers/face that I was thinking of:

Ian... If you like it forget what other people think.

I get stick for having a rolex but fuck the haters, I've got a watch I really like.

I've also been told that my Shark diver is a fake submariner and that I'm trying too hard. Fuck that view too.

If you like your omega wear it with pride.

  • Hugo7, I intend to stick a 31Starp on it ASAP, so im thinking the rubber one,i got a few spare metal seiko bracelets kicking about from various old projects if i decide i want one.

I like the idea of modding it, but im too scared to incase i b0rk it.
might start practicing on old watches to get the feel of taking them apart.

  • ^^ exactly.

^ I wouldn't do the mod myself. I had some ideas about it but I quickly realised that you need decent tools and a very steady deft hand.

I lol'd harder at a snob who thinks it matters what you wear on your wrist when you are wearing a DJ to a wedding in the first place!

But the Omega Seamaster video was fairly funny. The rest is a more of a laugh at him than with him... sort of an Aussie Keeping up Appearances.

I am actually more doubtful about the size. Its actually not much bigger than my RAF watch. I was discussing it with Soul last night and he said i should look into a Steinhart 44mm.

But the banking comment seems legit. I actually have a colleague who has it and i dont particularly like him so that carries weight.

But yes, fuck the haters. Anything i buy will be laughed at on here.

    ^^ exactly.
