  • '50s Seamasters aside, I think this is my favourite watch in this thread. Never seen one before, either.

  • That Vulcan watch is awesome. I spent a couple of years of my youth volunteering at a museum and helping to restore a Vulcan. Bloody thing is rotting away outside now. Still, love the things.

    U boats.

  • Nice one. I'm loving all this watchy goodness. My Seiko arrived today from Singapore! Already.

  • ^ get a pic up

  • Seiko 5 Military £45

    TSS leather strap £18

Over budget by £23 but never thoght I'd be able to get something so nice for so little.

Never expected to be able to get an automatic at this price range either. Chuffed.

  • very nice, super, better strap choice than pisty's

  • damn..now i want one.

  • very nice that fella

  • Really nice SP, I'm liking the watch/strap combo a lot. I'm a little in awe of how little you spent as well, after the past few pages on this thread I'll definitely be getting a watch sometime this summer.

  • Great classic looking timepiece.

    Well done!

  • thats nice mr precise

  • thats bloody nice, and my kind of price! the strap looks good although black is more my style, where did you get it?

how big is it? im finding it hard to imagine and im not a fan of huge watches.

  • Nice kettle Joshy lad :-)

  • Nice!

  • Heres one of mine - shitty phone pic

  • nice and clean

  • Nice work. Guessing ebay if you only paid £45?

That is so damned pretty, I'd love the XLA myself.

  • Yes, you can get grey market ones from Singapore for £45 if you look hard enough. I think the seller was a chap by the name of Goldfish 888! I was suspicious about authenticity but there is absolutely no way it's not genuine Seiko. Took a week to arrive.

Strap was from The Strap Shop (.co.uk), and is their 18mm light brown 'Navigator'.

The case is 37mm across not including the crown. Much larger and it starts to become too much of a statement for my purposes (smart work attire). I'll get a larger chronograph, maybe one of those fit Archimedes, as and when I can afford it.

Sweet Seamaster VV! Liking that a lot.

  • Archimede's watches are just pony IWC rip offs, look OK though

  • designed by dieter rams

if you ever see one, buy it.

  • Does it come with hair straighteners or an iron?

  • :-) it looks like it should come free with petrol but in the flesh its a thing of beauty

  • Seiko 5 Military £45

    TSS leather strap £18

Over budget by £23 but never thoght I'd be able to get something so nice for so little.

hah...I bought one too now, the less classy but more army style green one. £42!
