Stonehedge - I've got that exact date / white face Junghans Max Bill it's a thing of beauty. Go for it. The other one, even on a leather strap, looks tacky in comparison. The ETA 2824-2 that's at the heart of the Max Bill if regulated properly might lose or gain a second or two a day but it's a brilliant Swiss movement that'll last a lifetime if looked after.
Why worry about second or two here or there when all the girls will be swooning at your urbane feet?

i had a punt at that for 110

Mine was at 202. Decided I was just randomly punting so decided to let go.

I've mostly been wearing a Tag Formula 1 on a nato strap this week. It's quartz. Does that make me a bad humanoid?
-

I've got a Cal. 265 just like that one which was for sale. Looks great with a nice strap on it, and with the crystal polished.
Tag quartz with a NATO? Oh, go on.

Where would be the best place to look for a used (modern) Seamaster?
I don't trust eBay and refuse to hand over a wedge without seeing the product.
-
• #6538
Maybe a London viewing if an eBay item? Remember you get buyer protection.
The price of those newer Seamasters has really shot up.
-
• #6539
Your telling me just over £1k seems to be the norm....
-
• #6540
When I was going to buy one about eight years ago, I was looking at around £600 for a new automatic Seamaster from Makro.

stonehedge , you should also consider one of these. manual wind , understated and will always look chic.
theres a nice one here, but keep looking around.

Thanks G...that is precisely the style that I love. I have never seen a better looking watch than the smooth bezelled Air Kings and the Oysterdates.
I do seriously love these though

I've made my mind up that I'm definitely going for an automatic movement and I really don't want to compromise.
I mean, if I am happy to spend thousands on a bike/wheelset that I only use every now and again why not treat myself to a watch that will last a lifetime and be use every day? My Arsenal bloody season ticket is a total freaking waste of money by comparison.
I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a good second hand automatic Air King Date and go for it. I really love the ones with the smooth bezel like the Oysterdate that Coppithat just posted.
Maybe I'll sell a bike or two ;)

Chaps- what is the URL for that online shop that stocks lots of different Seiko watches?
Me Julie bought me a watch from there for my birthday, but she's forgotten the name.
She bought it from the place recommended in this thread.

And I'm viewing one of these on Thursday for when I'm jerking off.
I'm surprised you can actually dress yourself in the mornings, CB...
