From lengthy phone conversation with the seller they are essentially offering me £150 off for not taking the original box (its a 1960s one). I'd obv get to take the paperwork.
This is too stressful. I think I might buy a new frame instead.

Already got one.
I've clearly run out of capitalism to capitalise on. ;)

He didn't have a particularly good reputation a few years ago.

try offering to sell them something via email that you know the retail price of and see what their mark up is? Obviously they will have a mark up, which is fine. One of my friends did this (but was genuinely trying to sell something) and he was very unimpressed with how they treated him (he felt they were trying to rip him off).
They sell nice watches though!

I've broke the strap on my one of these. The grey plastic where the strat goes has also snapped. Its screws on to the watch case. Any one know where I can get spares? My google-fu has let me down. It's an MTG 930DU.
These guys also seem to have a number of spares
These guys replied same evening and have the parts required. Very helpful indeed.

I've think I'm going to buy something sexy in a year. Something made in 2006 to bought in 2014 to commemorate my journey.
To mark this milestone, I have a RAF Gen 2 waiting at the post office. Nothing more British than the RAF. kinda symbolic. I will either love this watch or despise it in just over a weeks time.

They are lovely watches, almost bought one myself... But a bit pricey for a quartz watch imho, I'd be all over it if it was an auto...

Fantastic article on gawker about how having a nice watch instantly equates to being a dickhead http://gawker.com/luxury/

I don't need to be told which is the nicer looking watch. As I said upthread, I'm just working on my borderline OCD obsession with atomic timekeeping.
