That's lovely coppiThat. If I ever start a watch company, you, SP and DMCzone are in charge of design.

It looks like a cuckoo should hurtle out of the little windows on the hour.

I've broke the strap on my one of these. The grey plastic where the strat goes has also snapped. Its screws on to the watch case. Any one know where I can get spares? My google-fu has let me down. It's an MTG 930DU.

I need the plastic adapter that screws on to the watch case. The bracelet then clips into the adapter.
I've emailed them to see if they can help. -

My God, that's one ugly watch.
Like those seven diamond and precious stone encrusted watches that Prince Jefri of Brunei commissioned from Asprey depicting his seven favourite sexual positions.

Ok, so I've made it no secret that I love the simple looks of the Air King.
I've found a pre owned Air King Date with certification and recent service and polish for £1,250. Original asking price was £1,500 and I have haggled a little. The seller wants to keep the box as part of the price reduction deal.
Sounds moody as hell to me. I mean, I know that the boxes are worth something (I sold some Tiffany ring boxes for a pretty penny a while back) but is there something odd about a watch dealer giving you a price cut if he can keep the box?
Seems happy for me to visit and inspect the watch...

he can sell a fake with the box ?
;-)

"something that is moody is known to be fake or of a bad quality."

Two ways of looking at it. She can sell a fake in a real box. Also, valuable watches command a higher price if in the box along with certificates etc. She can either sell a fake in a real box or make a few quid extra on another real watch that does not have a box by selling it in another box IMO.
Some people can be right idiots when it comes to brands. I sold some Tiffany engagement ring boxes for nearly £100 a piece a few years back. The buyers wanted them so they could put their H Samuel engagement rings in the boxes for their ladies big moment...

Not your fault mate!

Always important to start the marriage off on the right foot...
I admit I do like the Octopus watch. I wouldn't want one with all the diamonds but I do like the face to be honest.

Just to add...the seller was happy for me to have the watch inspected by a jeweller of my choice. This is why I'm confused.

cheers dan :-) That explains moody then!
If he sells a real watch with a different box (but same brand) i would be ok with that as he will be trying to recoup the costs of your sale.
