If you like those bracelets these might be up your street. I stumbled across these on my quest. Both around half the price of the GS too

You didn’t seem to mention it, but I presume you have a camo G-Shock of immense proportions?

Calm down. You're not being terribly rational.
LOL

This is great!
Finally a GS that isn't polished to the hilt- every corner, edge and surface.
Clean and simple dial too...
Just lovely

I thought it had got a bit quiet here .........

Not seen that, thanks!
Despite reading various pieces that referenced the "easter egg" 25, for the life of me I couldn't see it before.
But the vid also introduced me to the Citizen 0100 and I'm not sure I can lower myself to just +/- 5 secs a year now...

That's very kind, thanks.
But I'm not sure if import fees etc would make it worthwhile.

That Longines is rather nice, but could do with just the dash of colour the GS has, to break it up.

That's just a G Shock to you

Along those lines the Omega is similar price to the GS and the Breitling a little more. Brietlings are usually a bit too macho for me but this super ocean is a lovely thing

I love the Super Ocean. Very high on my list of things to acquire at some point.

Blue day
Came across a decent 5513 the other day, start thinking of leaving the snowflake for the coronet sister, but at the end, the outsider profil of the tudor got me more I think

Both great but the Tudor shades the Rolex

Love a 5513 but IMO the Tudor is cooler

Great everyday piece the aquaracer. Really durable I've just sold my 20 year old F1 and the bracelet was like a 1yr old watch. I regularly see secondhand older silver faced aquaracers in shop windows and the bracelets especially hold up really well. Blue Dial and Bezel is lovely on this. I am really into my Blues at the moment

tudor is better imo

But watches are a more interesting case (to me) because of the mechanical complexity
I've made this point before, but whatever.
When people say this they're often forgetting all the complexity of other lux products and ascribing extra magic or woo-woo to the level of vertical integration in watch manufacture.
Take a Handbag. Think about the skill to correctly skin and split a hide. Dye evenly and consistently. Identify the best cuts needed. Cut correctly. Deal with individual intricacies of each piece of material. Etc. Etc. Most people write it off because all they think about is stitching material together.
Sure there are some highly skilled jewelry making aspects to some specific dials. But most of watchmaking is assembly that could be done by a Foxconn employee in Shenzhen with 6m training.

The logo will forever put me off GS I think.
