  • @Jeromeo very nice, the Seamaster look insane, any other pics ?

@swedeee congratulation, they also made a jumbo daydate wich is on my radar..

    Happy birthday by the way..

  • It is a 165.014 omega .
    Crazy original Bakelite bezel.
Storage is in the bank still hopefully .
Waste really as should be getting worn by someone .

  • Looks great @swedeee!

  • Separate from wife. Buy watch you can’t really afford but buy anyway. Profit?

  • more importantly...are those clogs?

  • chefs kiss.gif

  • They're my dog walking crocs :-)

  • Great watch.

  • Hope everything works out for the best. Great watch. So classy.

thanks! yeah the 7017/0 is actually what I initially wanted, but a good example is £2500-£3500 depending on presence of boxes/og bracelet/dial/condition etc. In the end I didn't really want to spend that much (wedding next year) so went for a date only version which actually seem to be less common, but significantly cheaper at ~£1600 for this one

  • awesome watch man. sorry to hear about the relationship though

  • Seems like a good price for the condition. A classic.

  • Thanks guys.

  • Still think its a travesty that they've discontinued this. The new gilt handed version which I guess is the closest to this is nowhere near as classy.

  • Oh shit. Wonderful Ranchero. And the SM too but I've always loved Ranchero's. Great stuff!

Okay I stop spamming this thread now.

  • This looks rather nice...

  • That look a bit better than expected from Farer.

  • More for the lookbook 'watches with Captain Haddock jumpers'...

  • It was around longer than the white dial but it is a relative rarity in the sense that Rolex silver dials are usually a warmer champagne colour, not a proper colourless silver like this one. I don’t know how popular it was though, and maybe it also gets thought of as the “Domino’s Rolex”.

Give it a couple of years, they’ll bring a normal non-gilt silver one back.

  • Sorry to hear that man. Stay well.

  • Sending a virtual hug of @ChainBreaker proportions. Nice Santos JB, wear in good health.

  • The Holzer is my preference too. Then I showed my wife both options - I trust her in all style related things and she went for the Forstner 1450, she did buy me the watch in the first place.
@Regal thanks for the input too.

I'm probably going to end up buying both. Can't hurt to have a spare right?

  • Have a good one people 👍
