its a lot taller because it's automatic and for me the proportions weren't as balanced .
I wore it a lot mind you . -

As far as modern quartz watches go, I think this is a banger.

it kind of is, until you see this image and realised it's also the perfect watch for the jeans and sheux crowd

Yeah, have to admit that photo really puts me off it. Will try one on next time I'm in Alsal though.
Another thing I struggle with Bulova is some of their watches don't have AR coating and as a result the mineral glass clarity is a little wayward.

Lucky his thumb got in the way, that pic makes me twitch imagining the zip scraping the side of a nice watch.

There was a recent Hoodwinkee piece, canāt remember which one, and the comments lost their shit about a Rolex being worn like that next to a metal pocket zip. Makes me anxious too.

It's the massive newness of the jacket that hurts. Probably returned to the shop after the photoshoot with the tags still on it. Poser watch for posers.

Advice needed on repairing a Speedy Reduced.
I have epilepsy and had a seizure last week. Usually my watch survives unscathed. Not this time. Scratch to the headline Crystal, which I can live with. Unfortunately the bracelet clasp seems to have been twisted or similar and now when I try to close it, it springs straight back open.
Ideally, Iād like the original bracelet repaired. Any ideas if thatās possible?
If not, then I could look at replacing with another - NOS seem stupidly expensive. Any recommendations on other straps/bracelets available at 18mm?

Sorry to hear that, thats really bad luck!
I would have thought that a decent watch repair person would be able to get your bracelet back to how it was with a little manipulation. Might be worth talking to Alsal if you wanted to try a cheaper option first.
Not sure about how much it costs for a new crystal for an Omega.

Thanks all. Iām up near the Strand anyway on Friday so might take the opportunity to pop into Alsal. Up for other options though too

I reckon you can fix that yourself with some careful bending. Or worst case swap out the clasp.

I've not seen the co-axial version in the flesh yet but I think I'm going to like it when I do. It is a bit taller because of the auto movement and it really doesn't need a date but the case shape and polishing is a thing of beauty.
The limited edition in the centre looks nice. Can't really tell if it's the rio version with 2 tone strap.
