It’s probably a lovely dial, but this photo doesn’t do it any favours. Looks like a cheaply refinished dial imho.

Can anyone help with this .
My son , bless him, has smashed the dial on his watch .
It was a gift from the ‘south bank’ skater group , he is a gifted skate boarder but it’s not really compatible to watch wearing .
I can’t really see how to get the old glass out .
Any ideas of if it’s fixable , where to send etc thanks

I’m no help, but it a good time to give him a G-Shock as a present (as well as scratching the itch to have one yourself).

Yeah Alsal did a non-stock crystal replacement for me. About £35 from memory.

Not sure the statement Made for everywhere is accurate.

Just notice how the minute hand almost cover the hour hand when it line up in opposite direction.

Quartz problem isn’t it, low torque so needs a counterweight.

Ha - you're all good. I don't own exclusivity rights to it :)
Looks good.

It’s why most analogue quartz watches have very thin hands. Grand Seiko use a higher torque stepper motor to be able to use their normal large dauphine hands.

Hehe, thanks. I like how the transparent case makes it look a lot smaller.

Having the indices highlighted only on the chapter ring balances sooo much better. I decided against the black one in the flesh, might look again. Deffo the best yet.
Is that a kipper or a flipper? :o)
