Have you seen one in real life? The dials really pop.

Big fan of Longines, been eyeing up this heritage classic chrono for a while...

I like that too.
@Regal that sector dial is super nice, it's not trying hard, it just is. No nonsense, cool vintage vibes.
I can only speak from my experience, the BigEye was superb, the movement felt very smooth and it was definitely much better quality than say my Sinn 103 at a similar price point (2nd hand). The new Longines Spirit are great and 2nd hand can be picked up for less than £1k. I think that is incredible value.
My friend had his LLD serviced few months ago and the watch came back with a little speck of dust on the dial - Longines took it back and sorted it out, no questions asked. Very reasonably priced service too. -

heritage classic chrono
Also lovely.
If someone started collecting a brand, you cant go wrong with Longines at the moment.

Yeah the Silver Arrow looks like another winner despite a slightly chunky looking case.
I had a rant about the typography on that chrono a while back, won’t get into that again, but that’s one of the rare cases where I think they were careless with the details.
@ejay2.0 the Heritage Conquest is the one my friend has that had the lume plot fall off the dial.

Oh , that watch has been around forever. These things do happen mind you.

Absolutely love the longines heritage stuff - my favourite is the fab suisse.
I just wish they didn't super size some of these re-releases - the lug to lug on some of these models can be too long as a result as they didn't adjust the proportions on sizing up. That tuxedo chrono (originally 37mm) is sublime but is now 40mm and has a lug to lug of 50mm. Think the skin diver is closer to 53mm L2L.

Yeah, no reason to believe it was anything other than an isolated case. The watch itself has bags of vibe - not for me but seems a good option for vintage look / modern build.
You can see the loose lume above the marker at 3.

Horses for courses... I love the fact that they re-size them to modern standards. I cant wear anything under a 39 before it starts looking like a Powerband.

The ones that come out around 38mm are just about fine. The copper-coloured one with small seconds is very attractive but too big at 40mm IMHO.

Plus that subdial looks very lost on that dial - movement doesn't really fit the bigger case. Totally lovely otherwise.

V interesting. Thanks.
I guess u could use the marker @ 12 to act as a minute count down timer if rotated ahead to position.
The heritage stuff they do is all really lovely , and doesn't come across as being too "faux".
I have another type of heritage diver due and a plexiglass heritage conquest that is an awesome bargain at circa £1000.
They really are great value for money.
