Is there a G-Shock shop in London? They may well be open to a haggle.

Ah, of course. Neil Street.
For some reason I thought that was just a pop-up and must be long gone.

Thanks for that vb, is there a previous version of th giez, which doesn't have the shiny metal bits on it. I'm thinking some sort of stealth black version, which goes cheaper.
Just a quick thought, will probably pop into the g-shock store but I'm shit at haggling.. -

Don't worry, just remember that they're 46mm across, and look enormous on your arm. Then you can talk yourself out of it.

I've got thursday and friday off so will pop into casio store and try one on for size, and see if my arm looks suitably childlike beneath the watches massive presence

Lower image is a DW5600MS. I like the smaller size a lot.
Nice, like that display style - like them both, tend towards the round face though

In other news, the missus' Air King will now fit the tiniest of wrists and I didn't even have to threaten it with a blow-torch. It might not smell very nice when she tries it on at the weekend because I immersed the bracelet in WD40...

I don't mind a Quartz movement, never noticed any difference before really

This was one of the models built only for the American Thunderbird pilots. What would one recommend for around £100 as a good looking daily watch? Im not into that sort of chunky rubber G-shock thing, more minimalist etc
Thanks -

Yup, and for a simple classic face that goes with just about everything, and for under £100... try the Charcoal Suit:
http://www.swatch.com/zz_en/watches/ss2011_corecollection.product-YGS744.html
Big image: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/44/Swatch_Irony_Charcoal_Suit.jpgIt's here for £60 new: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Charcoal-Suit-Unisex-Swatch-Watch-YGS744-/220919808609
Can't find cheap... I checked eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=GS1300
But it was more expensive than just buying it off Amazon.
