When my wife was looking she just searched HODINKEE by Cara Bennett’s posts and looked at her Instagram etc she’s done more than a few articles in other publications on watches for women

Hodinkee occasionally cover women’s watches. There are one or two sites I’ve seen that focus on women’s watches but they seem to be based on regurgitating press releases.
What’s your budget? Quartz or mechanical? (Does it matter?) and yeah, new or vintage is a big question.

All this talk of replicas and homages has got me lusting over Royal Oaks again. I don't think I fancy the replica route tempting as it may be.
The Bulova version is cool but too small for today and difficult to find as it's vintage.
I found these though which might scratch that itch in an affordable way.
The skeleton is an auto and £400 the Ultrathin is £320 and quartz but with no second hand so no annoying quartz tick

Also the "ladies" version is 38mm and comes in this excellent lairy full gold which I think is actually amazing

Definitely go 38, RO tends to wear pretty big

Black dial for legibility, full silver for reflecting in people’s eyes at the coffee shop. Gold for OG baller days. Skeleton for wasting money.

why not get something like this? 400 for a di milano are a lot, see those in facebook groups going for 100

The Maurice Lacroix is almost there the bracelet is lovely but the face is just too circular. It's the Genta style angles that do it for me. I guess they couldn't rip off the RO any more than they have already with the tapisserie dial and the b'let.
I'm super tempted by the gold it's proper full on. I can get them delivered to Jersey so no VAT which makes them a bit more affordable too.

There are these as well (though granted not half as affordable)

I know! I think it's the one I'm leaning towards but not sure how much I'd actually wear it as it's crazy gold. I had a client in yesterday though wearing an all gold Nixon that looked awesome.

Question is from where and for how much. I’ve seen them for £8,500 - good deal?
