Swap the Volvo for a real one?
-
• #36255
You have great taste in watches.
-
• #36256
I have no Volvo now :(
Maybe the key here is to order another replica from another shop at the same time.
A Royal Oak?

Lots of people got the same email. Speculation is that the burst pipe is true or they’ve been busted and hope to be back in business soon. They should send you QC pics once you’ve paid and if you’re happy to proceed they send the watch. I am also trying to order from them (haven’t done so before).

@Velocio you aren't seriously going to pay them? I mean, the burst pipe thing is a total ruse to throw you off guard. When you do get the email with payment details you'll be so grateful for the chance to pay (psychologically sharing in their celebration that the problem has been overcome) that you'll then discount the risk of being defrauded. This seems pretty obvious. I mean, what are the actual chances that there was a burst pipe in a watch factory? And that they know it will be fixed in 5 days?
Otherwise I know a Nigerian Prince that has a few billion USD he needs to move out of the country in the next week, I'll pass him your email address yeah?

I know the risk, I accept it. It's capped at £500, I'm cool with that.
And they've built up enough trust from many successful sales documented on a number of replica forums that yup... I shall.

Ask for a photo of the pipe

£500! seriously I think you've lost your mind

Strap just disintegrated on my Astral
Internet gives me many strap options but is there a forum approved/recommended site/person/business?
Just a simple tan leather affair will suffice

seriously I think you've lost your mind
For ordering a fashion item?
I've done so many weirder things and this is what makes you think I've lost my mind :D

Hirsch are decent.
-
• #36266
@Velocio Because you can get a Parnis Nautilus for £120 or a PaulaReis, a Peter Lee or a Bagelsport Nautilus for £30-£40. You can buy from a reputable seller and get full buyer protection. But instead you want to spend £500 on one from a website in China using Western Union or a bank transfer?
-
• #36267
As root says, Hirsch is my goto brand for value for money when it comes to straps.

I've bought from InTime before. You're right not to worry. Their reputation would be in tatters if they tried jacking you. The forums alone would bury them. They can't afford to dick you about. Their entire business model relies on people trusting them.

Good to hear thanks. Can you only pay in crypto or do you know if you can just paypal or credit card it?

Looking for a good watch for mrs zero star. She is very petite so looking for 32mm at most, ideally sub 30.
Any suggestions? Also what is the female centric equivalent of hodinkee?

I'd have a think about whether you'd consider second hand/vintage first.
There are loads of good-looking, small, old watches out there now that the trend is big ones
So I haven't received my payment instructions yet... the gist is: Place the order, wait for them to contact with digital currency instructions, pay, wait ~5 weeks and receive it.
But nope... the payment instructions haven't come in yet, instead a "we've been flooded email!":
LMFAO. OK... thanks intime04
If it wasn't less than 1% of the price of the original authentic one I might be bothered by this, but nope :)
