Just scored a 1960's Titus quartz.

What tips/solutions for cleaning the case as its a bit filthy. Looks like a SS case with a gold plate crown. Some pitting to the underside of the crown

Murtle forced me down the auto route but have a read about Grand Seiko and VFA (very fine adjustment) and how multiple Seiko builders were pitted against each other in competition so that they could develop better movements than the Swiss. There's some fantastic history behind this watch development.
