Btw, confirmed that that hammered case GS is spring drive.
It’s the 20th anniversary of spring drive, hence all the new SD models.

Excellent.

That’s not a bad price but buying without service history could add a bit. There are some no lume versions of these that were issued for submarine crew, personally I prefer the Gen 1 because of 3-6-9 sub dial layout and no jaunty date window. Either way when you see that 0.1sec chronograph run they’re friggin awesome.

well i sent an email this morning to the place not expecting anything back, but immediately got the blurb (i suspect it might be advertised online given the nature of this blurb) :
"
This Watch has been issued to a serving officer and in active service ( not to be confused with similar styled civilian models ). Purchased directly from the Ministry of Defence (MOD ) so has not been worn by anyone else after the Pilot Officer.Original sand-blasted non-reflective steel case in very fine condition. Only very minor, hard-to-see marks. Possibly the best example available !
Dial signed P for Prometheum 147 - the luminous material specified for good night vision.
- Centre sweep second hand.
- Chronograph functions include: continuous sub-seconds, 30 Minute counter, and 24 hour sub-dial
- Luminous hands in perfect condition
- Clear Dial and sub-dials
- Hardlex Crystal
- Date function
New battery & seals recently fitted.
Complete with Its M.o.D issued NATO G10 strap (not aftermarket ). Will also take different straps for a change of look
"I'm bloody tempted to take a look at lunch :-)

Can the bb58 be had for retail? I can’t find it in stock anywhere
-
• #34036
Ooffffffffffff. I mean it does look special to be fair. Guess I could try taking a hammer and chisel to mine...?
New citizen with 1+- second a year. Sick.

Not really unless you’re on a list.
-
• #34038
I'm surprised they haven't gone up more, they were £300-£400 around fifteen years ago, I had a real thing for them for a while...

Got mine for retail but waited months

One pops up on Watchfinder every month or two
-
• #34041
There’s one in Heathrow T2 watch shop, or was on Monday.
-
• #34042
Don’t mind waiting a few months but who’s list do I go on, any recommendations?
-
• #34043
Limited to 500, but this if far better. Spring drive indicator on the back and a mere $7,600. The SBGY003. Perfection.

Any AD will put you on the list for £500 down but might be good to phone around and see how long they’re quoting. Larger dealers might get more stock but have a longer list. I spoke to one that said they were getting them in at a rate of about one every couple of weeks, so they are coming through. The GMT is a lot scarcer still.

Yeah, that works for me.

Where can I find more about the Seiko Prospex?

The high end LX spring drive range?

Not sure if they’re going to be more limited than most of their models. I would expect if you wanted one it might be worth speaking to a dealer to see what the situation is.

Gotcha, sorry. Well they’re just special editions of the samurai and turtle like the previous STOs. They won’t be out until later this year I think. It’s not long since they released the black PVD versions of the previous STO. They’ll be widely available though.
Edit: JB with the reference numbers.
10 points.
