  • We all like it :-(

  • It's the profile that ruins it for me...

Looks like the 6 million dollar man would be wearing it.

And that along is worth the acquisition price.

  • What model is that? I like it.

2nd gen Seiko RAF helicopter pilot's watch... Quartz movement, rare-ish, £500-ish... Neil at Chronomaster has a few...

  • ^ thanks. After a bit of searching I saw similar but they have the P on the face rather than the L (not that that matters so much). I can't seem to find any examples with the L. Any idea what the letter signifies?

    I was hoping they'd be cheap :(

  • i like the desert camouflage nato strap.

Might be wrong but I think the difference between P & L is the luminous material that the face is painted with.

  • classic... simple but effective.

Unfortunately mine is a civvy, I have the original receipt from Ernest Jones in Exeter to prove it :0(

Yep. L is for Luminova, while P is for Promethium 147. Although it's the hands, and not the face :0)

  • ^ pr0n... Where from, Murtz?

  • here is a side by side, i know which one i prefer

  • Où est?

  • Isn't it dead hard to mod somethign like that? I presume it requires some mechanical ability and a light touch. Neither of which I am party to.

  • Where from, Murtz?

the base watch is easy enough to find cheap on the bay, and a link to the parts, i posted yesterday :)

  • From Murts link to old Seikos

Bah, gif fail, have a printscreen

    Beautiful!

I am known for using a hammer, and sucessfully built my watch up.

*opens up Murtz' custom watch emporium

  • ^ not a bad idea, mate... Srsly...

  • here is a side by side, i know which one i prefer

    Clean.

  • That's a very nice mod Murts, seriously, I think Teens has a good point!

Why don't you knock a few up?

  • I have the one on the left if you fancy doing it for me?

  • I would buy an Indestructible Murtz military style watch. For real. I don't feel comfortable cycling with either of my watches...

  • just made a few enquiring emails :)

  • Murtzwatches.

  • Swiss movement + generic military style case/glass/dial/hands + NATO strap = £¥$€

    Do it!

  • I'd be up for a bit of that action as well...
