  • A child is wearing the £8000 Omega. That's why it looks so bad.

  • Ha, this. Literally a child’s wrist.

  • Cheers, yep medallion is in good nick. I thought your Elnix dial looked great and then the seller dropped the price of this to ridiculous.

  • And it's loose! He's using his arm against his body to hold it! He's scared, poor little rabbit.

  • Maybe you'll like a nice vintage Heuer?

  • I wanted to find a good gender assumption meme for you, but the internet let me down.

  • I will google them. Thanks.

  • You're right... At that age they could be anything.

  • Anything is going to look shit on Sheldon Cooper tbh

  • I am here if you need me , sold one yesterday waiting for it's replacement to arrive today.

  • Sorry buddy totally missed this - I’ll message you details this eve

  • Does it need to be a new one? there's alway some on tz-uk. I'm not a huge speedy fan but there was one on there a while ago, a Schumacher edition with a yellow dial. It was strange, as in so odd that it would probably offend the purists and was so off message (fully murdered-up time pieces) that I loved it. That's the only one that's piqued my interest. Anyway, why not just buy a used one? Allow for a service and you can always sell it on if you don't get on with it.

  • It’s really whatever takes my fancy although price will be a consideration.

  • so i kind of accidentally bought a watch.. condition not good!!. but i love the model dial and case. do you think a service can restore it? if yes where can i sent it?

  • Why not just buy something you really like regardless of model? It sounds a bit like you've decided you want a speedmaster and you're trying really hard to convince yourself you actually like it.

    This.

    What am I missing here?

IRL it doesn't look good on you and you don't actually like it.

    Move on.

  • Looks like water damage. On the plus side it makes the dial quite interesting! Have somebody check on the movement to make sure it's clean, I think. Good luck :)

  • well the dial was supposed to be like this. so i don't know if that's dirt or discoloration from whatever.

  • Like I said, probably water damage. Interestingly the date wheel looks clean so the movement might've been cleaned and repaired already.

  • or even changed if it was water. says its running well

  • If you want to flip it, let me know. I'd enjoy working on that.

  • Looks fun, get the case gold plated to match.

  • Dial might clean up.
But I think it looks nice and special like it is.
Leave it and call it tropical/patina/that Japanese expression?

  • Looks great as it is!

  • If you're prepared to risk losing the "Grand Quartz" I would expect that to clean up with a mild detergent solution and cotton buds, or even in an ultrasonic cleaner
