  • Needs a Murtle.

  • I would like to purchase a Steinhart Vintage GMT, having had a think about it, the site currently says that fresh stock is expected in June - anyone know if Steinhart are normally good at predicting when they will have fresh stock?

  • It's been saying that for a long time, so they've had plenty of time to amend it if it's not accurate. I'm guessing it's due to quota restrictions on the ETA movements since all their GMT watches are showing the same message. Drop them an email?

  • I have done. I guess the question is whether they will get those ETA movements on time, was there not some controversy over their use of those?

  • Ring them up, Neil... Check their site for office opening times, they're very Swiss, very specific... The lady I spoke to was helpful, if a little brusque...

You may get flim-flammed... Well worth the wait tho'...

  • Hah, I genuinely had not thought of calling them.

I'm leaving shortly for Barcelona, will give them a call when I get to the hotel.

  • Undecided if I think this is neat or gimmicky

  • It's very brown... Ten chevrons...

  • Quite like the concept, but I prefer the pilot's versions.

  • Very tempted by the new Prospex Monster (SBDC025) with 47mm case and upgraded movement (6R15) to have alongside my SKX007J, be it a little pricey (£332). I assume its a decent movement, hence the price(?).

I'd also love an automatic Diver for the other half, she has a Citizen solar diver at the moment. Seems Seiko made them in 780/80s, have to keep an eye on eBay..

  • I'd wear that ladies diver, dat bezel on the other one tho'...

  • Anyone used a Timex Weekender?
How do the NATOesque straos hold up?

  • The bezel does explain the nickname Seiko 'monster'!

  • They're cheap - get a new one of watchobsession

  • Wandered up to look at a Freccione, looks good in the window.

  • anyone tried a compass watch? for some reason i think i need one.

a - is the compass always active? this might get annoying
    b- is the compass accurate?
