  • Thanks ladies and chaps.

I have a feeling that I'll be listing this on eBay tomorrow. I'll prob get a bit more for it anyway. Having said that, eBay selling fees are a bitch.

  • FWIW I love my Max Bill Junghans :)

You're better off listing it than pitching it to these shallow pocketed tittle-tattlers.

  • I'm coming round to thinking I may as well list it on eBay. I've had a few can you wait until payday nibbles and whilst I can wait a while, eBay might end up being the easiest route.

  • Steves has first dibs. Its on eBay too which I know is against forum sale rules but he managed to get his dibs in after I had placed the auction. If Steves doesn't take it, i'll let the auction run.

  • Looks like a cunts watch to me.

  • ^^ Dibs, I've already put in a best offer of £7.98 the seller would have to be mad not to sell it for that (along with his wife / home / car).

  • Looks like a cunts watch to me.

Should be plenty of interest on here then :)

  • To be clear; that's me bidding on it at the moment. You, never know.... i might get a bargain.

  • You can get the same watch on ebay from a seller in Japan for about £1200 with free delivery. That's suspiciously cheap if you ask me. The Junghans stockist I know recently told me that they are quite hard for the retaillers to get hold of at the moment and the trade price seems to be on the up.

As I mentioned earlier I heard that they were about to go up by about £200 in 2013.

  • To be clear; that's me bidding on it at the moment. You, never know.... i might get a bargain.

Awkward! This is why we shouldn't sell on the forum and online.

Steves just PM'd to ask if he can come and have a look tonight at 6pm. If he takes it, auction will be withdrawn. If not...I'll let it run. Sorry Soul!

  • Ha. My maximum bid is £800 so i'm not expecting to win... just a cheeky bid which also lets me keep an eye on it.

I would already be on my way round to buy it if I wasn't going to pick up a Metro in the coming months.

  • ^ It won't sell for less than 800 quid...

Have put it in my watch list to see what it does sell for (I'm guesstimating 950 to 1050). This is also an effective way to keep an eye on something on eBay...

  • £1k if Steves buys it tonight ;)

I think you're probably right VU. Having said that, most of the sellers on there are outside EU so you sometimes get people buying at going price + import tax. I ended up getting more than the new price for a Steinhart for this reason I think.

  • I seemed to have (drunk) bought a selection of NATO straps.
    Khaki green, orange and blue.
They all seem to look ok on my SKX009

  • Junghans sold. Auction ended.

Old Gill is eating food tonight.

  • And loving it...thanks! Obligatory watch/keyboard shot to follow...

  • Bugger. I'd put on a snipe for £811.69 and was sure to win.

  • And new road bike ordered...win win :)

I have made the life decision that I'm going to stop buying halfway watches and save up for THE WATCH.

  • Ah! Seiko skx007!

    Good choice!

  • Really got to start wearing mine, loved it but it's very bulky for cycling and workshop.

  • and new road bike ordered...win win :)

i have made the life decision that i'm going to stop buying halfway watches and save up for the swatch.

    ftfy

  • You guys haven't even seen my swatch. You'd be so jels.

  • ^ What you got in mind Squire?

  • prolly needs a new starp?
