Put the PAM back on bracelet for the warm weather. LOVE my 31trum horween strap but it feels like a new watch by swapping.

Rather like this, very pricey though.

Watch window shopping in the aeroportuaria (Frankfurt).
Got to say most of the Tudors look pretty shit in the flesh. Even worse when sitting near others like Zenith, Nomos, Gls Originals, JLC, etc. The Tag and Guess watches look better... a little disappointed.
They don't have the Pelegos though.

^^^ Not sure if I like the fact that it reminds me of a pocket watch conversion.

The problem for me is perception. The only American mechanical watch I ever had (as a boy) lasted about a week before it fell apart.
Tools, yes American tools, tend to be massively over engineered and last a lifetime (as does the food) but everything else seems to be engineered to the lowest possible budget (artisan stuff excepted).
Huge generalisation of course, but still couldn't see myself buying Weiss or Ball or Westclox (the latter was the one that ticked itself to death in a week).

Thinking about putting my collection on hold. I've reached that point where I have everything I'm interested enough in to want and seldom wear a fraction of what I do have. Bit daft really but there you go.

Just putting this out there just in case anybody on here is interested.
I've finally decided (no arguments) to sell my Junghans Max Bill Chrono.
It is in virtually mint condition, has only been worn a dozen or so times and comes with Junghans bracelet and unused original strap. Complete with box and papers, still under warranty.
I'm selling to buy something well lush innit and whist I love looking at the Junghans, I just don't like wearing it as much.
PM me if interested.

I'm still trying to work out a reasonable price but the cheapest 2nd hand LNIB one on leather strap that I can find sold for £1025. The Junghans bracelet cost me £80 extra and the bracelet version sells for a minimum from abroad price of £1,200 new.
I'm going to go with a forum asking price of £1k and if no takers its going on the bay.

That's a bargain. If I hadn't already got the Nomos Metro in my sights, i'd be writing the PM now...

I paid less than that as I bought a few items of jewellery and a diamond at the same time. Thats about right for high street price though.
I'll take some pics now and post them in a few minutes.
If not sold on here by end of tomorrow its going on ebay.

are they really 1500 new? wow.

Actually, you might be on to something CB. I did hear that Junghans were putting their prices up by just under £200...something about costs for the Valjoux movement going up. Wasn't sure if it ever happened though.

Apologies for the poor pictures. Photographer I am not.
I forgot to mention that it is currently fitted with a brown Hirsch lizard skin which I will also include with the sale.
I have dithered on the price but forum price is £1k or approx 2.9BTC. If not sold today or tomorrow I will be putting it on eBay.
I have just been over the watch with an eyeglass and can say that there is minor extremely light scratching on the case back. Please note that this should not be confused with the Max Bill signature engraving in the photo! Other than that, the watch is in perfect condition without a single mark on the acrylic.

what diameter is it again?

You're much more likely to get an accurate answer by googling it than asking me to get a tape measure out Iain but for what its worth its 40mm wide and 12mm deep. It wears big but it is not in any way bold or brash.
For what its worth I really don't think you'll like it. You're welcome to come try it on though.

Do me a favour Stoney old fella, if you list it on eBay could you mis-spell it a little?
Youngun's Bax Mill?
Seriously though, I would love it but my spend pot for watches is earmarked until later this year. Beautiful watch and a bargain.
