One thing which I have recently thought second-hand dealers should do is to provide a timegrapher measurement of watches for sale. It would really help to avoid getting sold a "dud", or a supposedly recently serviced watch which is actually dirty and running dry. I've been using mine for a few months now, and given that they only cost £100-odd, it seems like a small investment for what it allows you to achieve.

Tough call, but nice problem to have. For me, I think I'd have to handle the 116600 in person and see how much the new endlinks would bother me irl.
I reckon the 116600 would do more to satisfy a hole left by a DSSD too. As much as you may love a 16600, you might feel the DSSD is different enough to still be left wanting...
You're spot on B&D. I'd always be happy to pay a few hundred quid more than internet prices for piece of mind.
