Van Uden, your new "timepiece" (as douchey, usually American, internet watch nerds love to call them) is outrageous. So fucking nice, a submariner for 2014. I bet you're chuffed and if not then you should be. It's probably not what I would choose for myself (too slick and cool) but that probably counts as a compliment.

Can't agree fella. In black out of white the date window makes the 3 marker identical in length to the 9 marker opposite. There is method in their madness :)
Of course you don't agree!
Very nice piece for your collection.

Got the rootbeer Squale from Gnomon in the end. Seems about right for the money and I won't worry about the abuse it will get as a daily wearer. Hopefully the bezel will free up a bit with time, as it's quite stiff. I do use this feature quite a lot at work for elapsed time and my Seiko monster one worked quite well (just couldn't stand looking at the thing).

How long did it take for delivery? And customs?

^^ Is that at an IWC service centre?
I'm pretty sure it's been sent to IWC Schaffhausen in Switzerland.

Ordered Friday night, arrived today. Ridiculous really.
I got UPS so paid vat and handling at the door. Gnomon mark down the value so you don't pay very much. -

Anyone notice the behemoth on Brian Johnson's wrist in the Bugatti episode of 'cars that rock' ? U-boat?

Bieber has the ultimate punchable face.

I know! Its that deliberately vacant, apathetic, puppy, FUUUUUUUU..........
Its ok though, he's the media's latest human sacrifice so we can expect him to slowly unravel very publicly.
Also, Rolex we're already dead.

That's the best thing about the Tudor range - not quite expensive enough to grace the wrists of the Bieberesque or footballisti and therefore should remain cool for the foreseeable.
-
• #12741
On the contrary, none of that shit affects my opinion of Rolex. Who gives a shit, Bieber breathes oxygen and drinks water as well (unfortunately).

• #12742
you are a belieber and iclmfp

• #12743
^Quite. Rolex has been around far longer than that muppet, and in ten year times they'll still be selling watches, but I bet no-one will remember him. Fortunately.

Well this has killed Rolex for me.
I saw him here last year. I'm certainly no giant, but he's a midget. He was running through a mall escaping from his "fans". He took refuge in a karzi around the corner from a Lanvin store. HIs entourage wouldn't let anyone in said shitter and then some important Sheikh appeared and demanded entry because he wanted to have a slash.
He called the old bill and everything.

Both of these points I can guarantee.

I'm glad you lot have reassured me. I'm off to buy a diamond studded presidential.
-
• #12746
^ If they do it in rose-gold I'll take 3.
-
• #12747
Not quite a president but this'll suit you perfectly.
-
• #12748
That would be seen as "a bit plain" over here.

Can't believe you're advocating punching Justin Bieber....
You'd use a hammer, surely?

I would have loved to have seen that.
I've downloaded Twixt, and I'm not convinced it is as good as using Timeis. It uses the clock on the 'device' as the base time, but they are not super accurate. It is amusing though, and easy to use.
