I'd have to get a March '67, DOB thing... Prolly quite spendy...

Is this now bigger as the moon is getting closer?

Every single 'commemorative' Speedy is gash on a stick.
Don't do it, Apollo - go for the moonwatch.

I like the Racing version with the carbon dial, but i still wouldn't have one over the OG

It's comparing the moon watch with the coaxial. Different watches entirely

Note the 2012 coaxial bigger watch lack the prefix " professional " . Not a moon watch as said above .

I think I'm just going to keep saving for my Rolex :)
I've been lusting after a 5700 in good condition for so long I'm starting to wonder whether I'm being stupid and should just go for a new Air King or even go for a Tudor Chrono and forget about the 5700 date. The only reason that I want a 5700 so badly is that my Mum bought one for my Dad in the year that I was born and it looks awesome. I should perhaps consider putting sentimentality to one side.

You're considering putting sentimentality to one side on an impractical luxury purchase?
Why? Surely that makes the most sense.

I see where you are coming from. I just feel that people are pushing their luck on the Air King 5700 at the moment. I know they are fairly sought after as they are no longer made and the date window adds a certain something to the balance of the face but I keep seeing pretty shoddy ones with an asking price of £3,000+. I'd happily pay good money for a fine example but so far, I haven't found anything that strikes me as worth the outlay.

Ooh, that's pretty. I love swatches, my girlfriend wears them a lot, and I would too but for their stupidly loud ticking.

It's a quartz fwiw. The auto's looked quite tempting too. I've gone from not wearing a watch and still not wearing it regularly to having bought 2 over the last 6 months. A Junghans Max Bill is on "the I'd love one of those" list.

Yaap. Looks great for a everyday watch, and no biggy if it gets lost/stolen.

You obviously didn't read the last pages where we were talking about Swatch's new machine made automatic watch.
