It was my grandfathers. The Longine belonged to my dad, and was a 30th birthday gift from my mum last week - unfortunately he was quite ill at the end of his life and the watch is a bit worse for wear as a result. I will be getting it refurbished in the next month.

Omega quartz (bought partly as it was made the year I was born). Added a cheapo mesh strap which I like more than I thought I would.

How the hell do you get an IWC for £65?

Cheers, came in its original box too. The damage to the gold leaf on the dial may not be repairable but I've got a really excellent contact who does all the watch repairs/cleaning for all the resellers in London (they repaired the Zenith beautifully for less than half what zenith quoted) so if it's possible I can probably get a decent price for the work.
If not then I will get it all polished up and serviced.. And accept the gold leaf damage as part of the watches history. Its a sentimental piece, not an investment.Max Bill's are my favourite watches - definitely what I would buy if I was dropping some cash.

Very much this!
Yeah I had mine in a watch winder which obviously isn't working out...
