    :p

  • And IWC

  • oh and i mentioned that i thought cartiers were a bit crap. see? we've been all over.

  • time to post my watches I think
the first on is a Marathon Watch with Tritium gas-tube, the second a Casio than my brother bought in the 80s and that later on he give me. Last month I went to change the battery and setting up the year realise that the internal calendar start in 1980 and run until 2019 only, I dont know but I'm going to do after.
As you can see I like the black face with white hands, metal case and black straps

  • I got a gold-plated Casio from H Samuel for xmas a ferw years ago. Do you think they're worth anything now?

  • Personally i think Rolex and Breitling are lottery winners watches - gaudy shows of wealth that are not the best product for the job they are designed to do.

Omega always FTW - I am biased but my original Seamaster i posted earlier in the thread, is the most perfect execution of a gents watch there ever has been or will be.

  • I'd get an Omega, probably the best of the second-string class of swiss watchs.

  • Buxx knows whats what

  • Looking at getting a watch on ebay from India/singapore, are these genuine or snides?

They are a lot cheaper than european prices.

  • what do you think?

  • As I thought.

  • if it's too good to be true.... maybe itsn't

  • no, they could very well be genuine 'grey market' watches.

  • wow lush. good luck!

I won it after a bit of hassle, collecting on Saturday.

    Define Grey market?
    Copies under licence or fakes.

  • no, they could very well be genuine 'grey market' watches.

for sure they have to be "yellow market"

  • Grey market watches would be real, just sold outside of official distribution channels

Not that I know if any of those watches are real or not, but Singapore is heavily taxed so that's where grey market items are likely to come from.

  • Thanks

  • Got my esnipe set up for this little slice of wonderful:

really hope you managed to win it?
