  • You haven't lived...

  • Good Lord.

  • I can see you're tempted

  • Closed, try Porkies round the corner

No way is Chariots Streatham closed! You know its a chain now right? Vauxhall...waterloo....

Chariots has closed WTF?! Is nothing sacred?

The day Chariots Streatham closes it will rain locusts.

  • A couple of packages arrived for me at work today...

I bought the Avia because I thought it was an absolute bargain for a swiss watch from the 1960's and I was going to try and sell it on but I might just keep it for now!

  • The Avia suits you, for the Orient and Seiko you ideally could do with eating more pies.

  • You've never been to Porkies, have you?

    What happens at Porkies?

Is it (as I imagine) a south London midnight trough for fat birds?

  • What happens at Porkies stays at Porkies.

  • Cheers Van, I bought the seiko and orient as I want to hang on to them for a while, admittedly I'm on winter training at the moment so I've shed a few pounds but they might suit me better when I'm done with bike racing lark!

  • Watches and drawing!

  • I wear my watches between the wrist bump and the hand and like bracelets slightly loose otherwise find they bind when I (for example) type.

Result is that I have a perma-bruise from the winders on my heavier watches (note to self - Chronomats should be removed before clapping at concerts as you will break skin).

Anyone suffer similarly and have remedies? And on a more serious note, could I get the winder on my Omega Aquaterra replaced for something less razor edge machined (like for example the nice domey Brietling ones?) and if so, where to goes?

  • New strap on the Jungans, feels real nice and flash like boom boom bad man

  • That is a fine looking watch

  • Longines Legend diver anybody ?

  • That is lovely! Does it have an internal bezel?

  • It certainly does . Is really lovely , comes in that great big box , and only £1380 ! ( before lfgss friends and family discount !)

  • Amazing! What size is it?

(not that I can afford it right now)

  • 42 mm .

  • One of my colleagues just looked at my Junghans and said "Thats a poofs watch that is".

    Nice guy.

  • Where do you work? In the warehouse at Wernham Hogg?

  • One of my colleagues just looked at my Junghans and said "Thats a poofs watch that is".

    Nice guy.

    What was he wearing?

  • One of my colleagues just looked at my Junghans and said "Thats a poofs watch that is".

    Nice guy.

    What was he wearing?

I probably wouldn't talk to him again.

I'd guess a Sekona or Pulsar.

  • A baby G?
