  • Are you speaking Australian?

If you're offering me beer and t-shirts though, yes.

  • i'm goin back this summer, so a summer on summer for me fella's, no polo in newy, think you'd get bashed!

    ;)

gonna be gutted to leave larndarn but hey, been good times here for me and fuck the bad spells of homesickness, they just ebcame to much for me, thank christ the mrs got laid off!

hey i was talking to hippy and few other aussies/kiwi's i met so far and we should do an anzac day so to speak - sounds pretty naff but think be great to then meet up in oz one day old an sore. some rugby, afl and cricket, few beers..... bbq naturally, everyone brings and aussie dish......

fucking +100 to anyone who can scrub up a pavlova......

  • those Coopers Pale Ales are 375mL bottles Horatio, you drongo. Bigger than your 330mL European or Canadian 355mL bottles for shit ey!

  • I thought they were stubbies for some reason. I think it was the larger cough European (Polish) beer on the table that distorted the perspective ;)

  • Aussie stubbies are 375mL. Then we have longnecks which are 750mL:

PS this is NOT an endorsement of VB.

  • Bigger beers aren't necessarily better though. In a hot climate the beer gets warm very quickly unless you make the bottle smaller or use a stubby holder (or both):

now there's some culture for you.

  • Gidday gents &c.,

Just thought I'd fill you in on recent developments amongst the polo-playing proles here in Melbourne.

An Autumn tournament was held last weekend, a cakewalk for "Top Center" - those boys own enough crumpler bags between them now to open a store - pictures @ flickr. Apart from regular Tuesday nights up at the IKEA™ carpark, there is some very earnest beavering going on to start playing Sundays at a tennis court closer to the city. If any of you folk know where to score some all-blue compound tyres, pref. without a black stripe down the middle of the tread (like most of them), drop us a line at www.bikepolo.com.au . And don't say we never visit.

  • You melbournites need to find a roof to play on.
There is one in the city on one of the cross streets near Melb Central I think.
    Would be amazing.
