I'm sure this must've come from here but I don't think search works very well for youtube links.

Anyway, one of the least shit MCs I've heard from that era and a good selection (not too much breakbeat! ).
Very weird hearing him yell Tasmania all the time though! :D

Listened to this today (full of breakbeats!).

Some nice 303 at 42min

Yes, it is a nice mix. I downloaded a load of minirigs mixes (all different types) last week and have been listening to them all week. There are some good dub mixes on there that I have been rinsing!

Some fantastic erm mixing skills on display here

Haha I got the same video in my suggestions and purposely haven't clicked it because I don't want youtube sending me tits instead of good sets. (not that I have anything against breasts, I just don't necessarily want to admit they work on me for advertising)

This one is guaranteed Hippy YouTube algorithm approved 👌

It has been lurking in my suggestions for a while as well, but likewise never clicked on it!

Well I clicked on it now I'm getting this shit. What kind of downward spiral is YouTube trying to take me on? I guess your not going to click on this because of algorithmic doom so I'll sum up what your not missing out on. House set probably mixed by someone else with a fake DJ dancing and knob twiddling on turned off CDJ's in an exotic location with no one else there. I'm curious to see what they throw up next as this is already pretty bad

Is she Milana Boguslavsky? Looks like she's Russian so you can also boycott her for that. I've bookmarked the Ho set.
-
• #3845
That's her and Russian. I'd never heard of her. Turns out she is a DJ and producer she's faking it in that video though the decks aren't even on. The Ho set is very good and certainly helped me through yesterdays workout.

• #3846
You sure it's just coz it's not bright background light making the decks look like they're off?
-
• #3847
Loaded in Tor. You can see the left deck spinning a little thing at 8:35. But yeah, most of these club DJs seem to just play pre-recorded sets now it seems.
23min there's definitely a monitor speaker working and at 26 when she puts her hand over the sliders you can see the little yellow cue button light on ch2 and she hits ch3 que button and it definitely lights up.
I reckon it's just really bright and you can't see the lights. Not to say it's just pre-recorded but faking it is probably harder than just playing auto beatmatched tunes :)

I only watched the first few minutes and there was only one channel fader up so thought she was just playing a pre mixed CD and bopping about making it look like she was doing something. I know some Djs never touch the crossfader and just use the channels. I haven't touched a set of decks for probably 20 years though and it was 1210's and a Vestax pmc05 so I don't really know what I'm looking at now so probably is just the light making it look like it's turned off.

I was one of those DJs. Crossfader always permanently sits in the middle and the channel sliders, EQ knobs and channel que buttons/switches are the only thing that gets touched. I had 1200s in Oz with a DJM and CDJs here with a Vestax but I sold it all a few years ago.
Fake or otherwise, it's still too chill for me anyway :)
I'm still listening to the Tazzmania - Mr Hyde + MC Knight 13/1/95 set.

I wasn't at that one I didn't recognise the flyer i went to nearly all the Tazzmania nights held at Hastings pier 95-97. That one was at the Rythym station I only went there a few times for Fusion nights. If you like Mr Hyde he was a Slamming Vinyl regular so will be plenty of those sets about. I saw him once at SV at Bagleys probably 96
