Yea, hoping for better things after last week!

Amy imaginative public transport solutions for getting down to Beckenham Place Park on Thursday post work?
-
• #6280
Orange line to crystal palace/sydenham
-
• #6281
Bikes okay on that in rush hour?
-
• #6282
Unsure. Probs not....
-
• #6283
Where are you coming from?
-
• #6284
I'm going 39x20 - I wonder if that's going to be too spinny if it's long grassy straights....
-
• #6285
Maybe. Over Christmas they used a bank to put in some kinda steep short climbs, that might affect your decision.
-
• #6286
Thanks! Though was probably a silly question anyway, I'm sure I'll be grinding against it after one lap
-
• #6287
Yes too Spinny, did it on 42 20 and just about held some wheels on the straights
-
• #6288
To be fair it's not the right time of year or location to SSCX.
Even in December last year it was ridiculously dry and fast.
-
• #6289
I'm not around but I'd go for 42 18 if I were, and sacrifice riding the short steep bits if they're featured
-
• #6290
Probably central. Could probably ride there in time, just about, if necessary.
Think I rode 44x20 in December. Seemed about right. The gradients aren't severe. My fastest lap last year clocked in with a 27 kph average - it's fast.
-
• #6291
Maybe I'll just take the track bike 48x18
-
• #6293
It was going to be, did some recce yesterday too and then realised I had booked tickets for BBC proms ages ago .. gutted.

This has probably been answered before, but couldn't find it skimming the previous pages.
Can we EOL for this?
Just means you're ungridded right?
-
• #6295
I dont think there is an option to EOL
-
• #6296
Can we EOL for this?
Yes, if you mean enter on the day at the race control.
-
• #6297
Yeah enter on the day,
Didn't know if my bike was going to be ready in time but looks like it will be.
I'll turn up and hopefully can start at the back (where I'll stay)
-
• #6298
Good stuff, might see you there. Might bring my MTB, for 'testing'.

Cancelled. It was on social media somewhere earlier, but I can't find it now. Riding cross bikes in the wet? Don't be silly.
Long grassy straights, some tight bends, bit of sand in the old golf course bunkers. It's a good venue for a straightforward race I think
Out of those two I'd go Rocket Ron.
