Nice to meet you guys last night! Top work....looks soo much fun half tempted to race one myself although I would be so slow. Great event....

Do it! The great thing is that you'll find your own level - mini races within the main thing.
Also, because it is such a mix of abilities, I occasionally get to follow a really good wheel (for a few moments) to see how it should be done.

That last one really gets across the 'fun' aspect of CX....

Came down to the last lap. Buried myself on the schlep and made no mistakes on the banks, then buried myself again to the finish. Seemed to shake him lose. Got some other guy, too. Negative split FTW.
Narrowly avoided clattering in to some peeps pulling up before the line, could have been a bit hawks.

Strong work.

the dude on a mountain bike
When people do that, it completely destroys my poor excuse of "having the wrong bike with me".

Doesn't it just!

A rare occasion where I could do damage on the drag rather than the techers stuff

I liked your "I'm all about the long distances" comment. That is a good excuse.

Ha, can never have too many excuses...

He managed to hold my wheel for a few fleeting moments there

Frylands - anyone riding out?
-
• #6246
Yep. It's very far away but I think a few of us are meeting at the top of Walworth Road at 17.20

Walworth Road
By the E&C?
-
• #6248
Sorry I should have been more specific!
There's some kind of hipster village made from shipping containers there, a safe distance from the junction. If you fancy joining I'll be in Islington kit and I think we've met briefly a couple of times before

Google maps calls it The Artworks Elephant.
I totally saw you ride more laps than him
