  • Sign on location for tomorrow nights Incredibly Cross Round 3 is Cycle PS, 41 Camberwell Church Street.

Sign on will be between 8 and 9pm, you'll be able to get a coffee/beer/bite to eat in the warm and dry. We will leave Cycle PS at 9 to head to the course and there will be a bit of time for a couple of warm up laps before the start.

    Usual £2 or beer donation.

Loads of prizes for outlandish festive outfits and inappropriate bikes, more spot prizes, winners trophies and free mulled cider for hecklers to keep you warm!

So excited, hopefully be a really fun evening of Christmas cross madness.

  • ugh, totally forgot about that so spent ages fitting mudguards last night...time to take them off and get the mud tyres back on.

  • The Nationals in Shrewsbury: can anyone with a license enter? Or is there a pre-qualification process? Mate asked me today and I honestly haven't a clue and the BC website doesn't shed light

  • Anyone can enter, but if the field is full, which it will be, the highest ranking riders get preference.

  • Thanks @andyp - entry via BC website?

  • Many thanks - will pass on

^ Live now, zilvermeer, very good between Van der Poel and Van Aert

  • Incredibly Cross was fucking ace again last night, thanks so much for organising it. Ace outfits, ace people, ace everything.
Looking forward to the next one!
    love from The Glitter Beard

  • I did Incredibly Cross last night. Rode on a hybrid with slick tyres, mudguards, rack and LED lights. No grip, pretty hairy, lots of fun. Came in WAY down the field though. Are the results out anywhere?

  • Lozzles. Are you really expecting results?

  • I've decided I came 4th, since no one can possibly prove otherwise.

  • I was definitely first Santa.

  • Fair point. I'm declaring myself winner of the with-a-pannier-rack category. Go me. Podium on my first race.

  • I thought I was doing OK! And then I got tired and then I crashed (again) and then I got even more weak. I have lost form. BUT anyway it was great fun, super hairy in the dark, I loved it. @Incredibly_Cross are absolute stars for putting in all the hard work purely for the love of seeing people ride bikes in the mud. Thanks.

  • I really wanted to ride that hill.

  • I didn't realise it was you, but when I passed you on the straight bit after the steps (and the handups) I was impressed that you were keeping it upright. You have skills.

  • Absolutely. Great course and a great crowd.

  • Wait. I think you slid out in front of me held it and recovered to let me pass. Before someone stacked it in front of both of us before the turn for the log.
    @Sparky

  • I was impressed with your poise and skillz.

  • Eggbeaters just aren't durable enough

Good enough for Helen Wyman...but she is using the £200 titanium versions. And probably gets a couple of pairs per season.

To be fair mine have been ok over a couple seasons but im probably not that hard on them.

  • @Chalfie @andyp Aww, shucks. I'll take the rack off and throw some CX tyres on next time. Was a hoot.

  • I'd ride them all year round if I they were giving them to me. But I have to pay for them and, in my experience, they can't cope with the conditions a winter of cross in the UK throws up.

  • So what's a good CX clincher to go for? And where can I have another go at this CX lark?
