ermm. Not sure about the Liverpool similarities. We have after all scored 13 goals in our last 4 league games!
Anyhow, it seems that my wife has arranged for us to go out on the night of the 21st. Will try and get out of it as I really want to do this one. Haven't been back to Amersham since I lived there 14 years ago.

My night bike is geared/mudguarded/25mm'd/reflectified to the max.

April 21st. Chilterns ride. 32 miles.
meet at marylebone station Approx 7pm. train details to follow. train will be to amersham. approx 9 pounds.
hilly to flat terrain. somewhere between surrey ride and herts ride. plenty of climbing but nothing to cry about.
see thread 363 for gmap. as usual everyone be responsible to know the route. it has been recceed and james is a local. we will defo wait at junctions for anyone suffering etc but take a map.

Couple of places of local/cultural interest (Jonny will be handing out leaflets on the night),
A few hills (nothing as long as Surrey), but plenty of flat too. Single track and mainly v.quiet B roads, with a selection of hidden dangers for those without the correct night vision.
And of course, a smattering of local types ready to point us in the right direction
