  • +1 for bulk deals from Ribble, the Contis are good. I've also had Vittoria and Michelin.
I'm still working my way through the last box of 10 Contis which suggests they're pretty good.

Cheap patches from Inmotion are also good (pack of 100 for £6.25, also double ended allen keys 5/6mm for 80p and huge tubes of puncture repair glue 40p, proper cable cutters for £16 etc. etc.) http://www.inmotionproducts.com/

Don't buy chinese rubbish (Specialized branded for example), they are crap.
Decathlon tubes look like a bargain, until you use them - also crap.

  • Why dont y'all buy bulk...Like shop bulk... There must be some amount of you that have the same tube size range, plus you would save even more!

  • Cyclebasket is really cheap, bought from them before but postage is a bit steep so you need to buy more tubes to make it worthwhile... Don't think you'll do better than £1.50 a tube tbh...

  • Funny that, Patrick Stewart plays both characters.

i should have checked wikipedia first

Doesn't everyone get their tubes made in Taiwan/China ? Wouldn't be surprised if they all came from the same factory

  • Just found Bike Plus, Croydon, does 50 specialized tubes for £99.....www.bikeplus.co.uk

  • I got the ones from chainreaction ten for £20.Pretty light and good quality too.

  • Any news of any cheap deals going at the moment? Chainreaction seems not to do 10 airwave road tubes for 20£ any more..

  • ^except they're specialized

  • In the evans sales usually spesh inner tubes go down to about £2, so i normally buy 5-6 of them then

  • are specialized really not worth it? A tubes a tube right? Is it a weight issue?

  • they split, down the seams, repeatedly

hippy thinks its an installation issue, so user error

but why do users only fuck up installing specialized tubes?

hippy is wrong on this issue

  • Thanks a lot James,
Condor are fresh out of continentals, any other suggestions?

  • anything that is not a specialized

    or a puncture repair kit

  • +1 Specialized tubes are the WORST.

Schwalbe are good. Michelin too - especially the latex ones...

I'm a mich latex man (oh er misses)
    Schwalbe do good performance butyl.
    Conti for commuting, off-road etc.

  • specialized tubes are my favourite.

  • Trade price +vat on the Bonti tubes in the shop I work in isn't much under £1.50 I don't think so those that are finding tubes around that price are doing pretty good.

It should be noted that I don't get trade plus vat, I get retail -30%. This is why I just tend not to pay for them.

  • Have had problems with specilized and bonti now just use continintal most of the time.

  • Had probs with conti, now use spesh. Condor deal is a good one and I have partaken. Additionally, I should probably add that meh.

  • High on Bikes (ebay) - £25 for 10 Conti Race 28 42mm or 60mm.

    Very good service too.

  • hot tip mr jesus :)
