Hi Folks,
I'm Pablo, one of the guys that run puncheur.com and the Convicts of the Road ebay store. Big thanks to both Fresh and Platini for mentioning us in the thread and especially to Fresh for organising the ride.
Been posting on the forum sporadically for a year or so and we're not usually blatant self-promoters (honest....)
Just wanted to anyone who is still looking for a jersey that we received a massive delivery from Belgium this morning. I'm going to be sifting through the umpteen bags of dayglo polyester to dig out all the decent wool & acrylic stock to get it photographed and available as Buy It Now on the ebay store as soon as possible.
Fingers crossed we'll get the stock listed by tomorrow evening (probably around 5pm) but I'll post a heads up on here tomorrow morning so you know the exact time they'll be on there for anyone interested. Postage is free for BIN items and we'll send it out first class as opposed to the usual second for anyone who mentions the LFGSS forum to make sure you get it in time for next weekend.
In normal circumstances we'd be all over the ride like roadrash but we're going to be away at Paris-Roubaix during easter weekend. Totally gutted, but I'm sure the ride will be a massive success and there'll no doubt be others.
Thanks again to Fresh and apologies to anyone who might be offended by our blatant self promotion!
Ride safe folks!
Pabs

No worries. Thanks a lot for the support. That's really good of you guys to help out.
If all goes well this time, I'm hoping to organise another VJ Day, most likely in June (TBC). Be great if you could join us then, and I'm sure we'll be sending some more business your way around that time.

I can't even imagine what 50k of cobbles does to you physically and mentally at pro race pace. Nothing but respect for those guys. The only thing you can do is double-tape your handlebars and know that the quicker you pedal, the quicker its all over.
Back on thread, we'll be listing the first batch on Ebay at 5:30 this evening. We'll be listing some more at the same time tomorrow if we don't get them all on today. There are about 100 to go on in total and there are a mixture of sizes so you won't necessarily need to be a sparrow-chested skinny climber type to fit in them.
If I get a chance I'll post some pictures on here beforehand, but we've got a good selection of full zip winter trainers (just in case the weather gets a bit iffy), a Tour de France white jersey from '79 (size medium if memory serves me correctly), a wool Italian national jersey (looks like a more modern reissue of a 50's jersey), an XL Ijsboerke team jersey from the seventies (42-44 inch chest), an acrylic wool rainbow jersey (if you've got the guts to wear it) plus loads of amateur team jerseys and plain ones too. Prices will range from a fiver through to £30 and as I mentioned previously, first class postage is free for LFGSS folks.

Pablo, I don't use eBay--is there any chance of picking one up from you in person?

FYI all - may be premature but I have pencilled in the second Vintage Jersey Ride in the calendar for Saturday 13th of June. Just wanted to make sure it was in there as weekends seem to be getting booked up. That could also be my last ride with the forum for a good while.
