  • Looks small though.

  • Very thin and soft plastic. At least the carbon fibre ones provide a bit of abrasion resistance when you crash :-)
For the tiny aero benefit (if any, it will depend on how it interacts with you), you might as well stick with the nicely made, comfy and somewhat protective Javelin.

  • Yes, your right. And Javelins are very comfy.

  • Oh and if, not when!!

  • Nah, its 'when'. We all crash. I ended a run of 5 crash free years this spring. I've never crashed when racing but it is just a matter of time.

    /pessimism

  • I've never crashed when racing either - only pesky taxi cab drivers!!

  • I can't see myself crashing TTing. Unless it's an early season hardriders sporting, but then I think a Kask would be fastest there.

  • Relevant discussion coincidentally on TTforum this morning.

  • ^^^ not that i'm a helmet advocate. I wear mine often, not always.

Just remember you can't predict crashes - if you could no one would ever crash. All it takes is a dickhead in a vauxhall nova or a slippery surface on a roundabout at race pace...

  • Just remembered this thread- arse! Still a few hours to enter the TT I'm promoting: the Kingston Wheelers Hill Climb on 28/9 at Leith Hill. £252 prize pot, and a class field with Pete Tadros and last years winner and course record holder Tejvan Pettinger riding amongst others. Enter on line via CTT web site. IIRC Pete Tadros won it on a fixed in 2011.

    Or a component failure.

  • That problem doesn't afflict the rest of us as often as it does you.

  • ^^^Yep, Tadders rode fixed and sub-1kg wheels, I know he's taking it seriously this year as he refuses to go on the piss until after the Nationals...

  • Or a component failure.

Or forgetting that getting out of the saddle while on the bars is a bad idea. Been there, done that. The scars have healed now, but never underestimate the power of extreme oxygen-deprivation-induced stupidity.

    I'm in!

  • Just had a proper look at the Tour of Britain TT results to see where Wouter Sybrandy (Hounslow & Dsitrict Wh.) finished. 1m54s behind Wiggins, with 21:48. A couple of weeks ago, he did 20:42 on a not particularly quick morning on H10/2, which is on a par with the top amateur testers. All of you familiar with the H10/2 now have an idea of what the course record would be if Wiggins turned up on a warm summer evening and put in a full effort; I reckon 18:30 might be possible.

  • Congratulations to Skinny on shortening our Catford CC club record by a few more seconds with a 10TT 20:17

Fastest my Adamo saddle has ever been. :D

  • Petition for banning Skinny for being too fast for LFGSS?

  • Out of interest, what is the h10/2 record?

  • I think it's Nik English at 20:27 on the current version

  • Nice event this morning tester. Enjoyed your hilly 29.

  • Nothing to do with me, I was over the other side of the county doing the Hounslow 25. Very old fashioned looking scoreboard with just two riders getting under, but looking at most of the field it was clear that there was a lot of pie power being deployed, and three times up Hawthorn Hill is never going to flatter the fuller figure.

  • So what you're saying is that the riders were as hilly as the course?

  • .88 seconds... pffff

would have liked to see Orica snap up the TTT World title but the Panzerwagen and colleagues are the champs

  • Yeah didn't see you. But your club so you're 'involved', thought I'd pass my feedback back.

Borrowed fixedwheelnuts Adamo TT saddle for the past few weeks. All I can say is wow, so comfy. Really nice saddle. No issue with it at all!!

This is my position now. My CdA is down to 0.181 as of yesterday! ha
