  • Pain Observer ^ :-)

  • Is that the FUCT afternoon 10 on Sunday? Are you racing?

  • Hadn't noticed before what the acronym of Fairly United Cycling Team was.

  • I had. It's why I entered. :)

  • Is that the FUCT afternoon 10 on Sunday? Are you racing?

    Yeah, H10/17R.

  • Excellent. I'll be driving along that stretch at about that time. I'll shout DAS if I see you :-)

  • Can you slow down to about 50kph just in front of me when you do it? :)

  • I'm calling the CTT police for violation of regulation 22a.

  • Speaking of breaking regulations, there were CTT observers at my club's open this weekend. They DQ'd quite a few riders because they crossed the white line whilst cornering (like the bloke that was going to win it), or they were deemed to have approached junctions at speeds to fast to stop in an emergency. This has made a lot of people grumpy.

"Riders shall not prepare dishes in ceramic bowls of more than 30cm whilst on the move. Exceptions granted for Pyrex-style dishes."

I'm not sure how that's relevant.

The former is a fair cop, the latter is far too susceptible to poor judgement by the observers to warrant a DQ

  • Mmm, that's their argument.

"deemed to have approached junctions at speeds to fast to stop in an emergency"

WTF? How can they possibly tell?

  • Just looking at this again.. he was loading it into his car a few k down the road from the HQ and still copped shit about it at the 50 presentation :)

  • Public pillory is the new way of enforcing Regulation 14h, had you not got the memo?

  • Tell me more about base bleed... :)

  • Wonder what his CdA is on that.

  • New PB by 14 seconds on the Gravesend CC evening 10TT last night on my 97" fixed Raleigh.

    23:43 :)

  • Nice one dude.

Anyone got any MG tips ahead of my second annual attempt?

  • Pedal like fuck?

  • Exactly

  • South Bucks RC H10/2 next weekend is a club event - I've emailed the org but how do people usually enter club events? I usually get emails from my own club TT sec about stuff so not sure.

  • Just turn up 15 minutes before the start and give Alan Hodgson £3 in exchange for a number

  • Tomorrow (Sunday 1st Sept) is the Kent 12 Hour.

Generally there is only limited interest in watching time trials, but the closing stages of a 12 are an exception.

The HQ is Bethersden Village Hall (near Ashford): there should be someone there who can tell you where you need to go to find the action. First man is off at 6.01 am, and there are 72 entrants.

I will be out to support my clubmates Nic (no. 60) and Loz (no. 70). If I'd known we might have had a chance of the team in time to enter, I would have had a go, even though I'm not really up to it at the moment.
But as it is I'm just directeur sportif.

I hope I'll see some of you out there.
