  • Good luck. I was halfway to the Hounslow 25 this morning when the today programme reminded me that it is the 20th, not the 21st today.

    /idiot.

  • Good luck hippy

  • Good luck you nutter. 1st place this year?

  • You should try it again Tom with deep sectioned wheels for the jokes.

Good luck hippy. El smash up.

  • shits bricks

Well, that should at least get the weight down a bit.

  • Awesome stuff, hippy. Well done.

  • Best to rush him down to Lords next. His country needs him.

  • Wow. Brilliantly well done, hippy!

  • Twitter says 500+

That would put him in a pretty select club

  • Oof! Good stuff hippy! Congrats!

  • TUE for midgets and beer?

  • Congratulations to Hippy.

I'm not amazed by this outcome, but it still had to be done...it's a great achievement..

I think this is the first national level success by a forum member.

  • Only just looked at the CTT site

    **518.37

    **Bloody Hell!

  • Looks official:

Congratulations to all the riders. Especially Stuart Birnie winning with an incredible distance of 518 miles!

  • 3rd longest distance ever recorded in a 24hr

  • He was probably hallucinating by the end and was chasing what he thought to be a pint on the end of his aerobars.

  • My Powertap said 520 but I'd taken a few wrong turns so knew it would be less than this. Ultan and I were separated by mere minutes for the entire race - it was a pretty epic battle if I do say so myself. We pushed each other to the limit. I can barely walk, he seemed OK though I'm sure tomorrow will be 'fun'. Great event with cool supporters and riders.

  • Fuck! 518 miles. You beast.

  • He was probably hallucinating by the end and was chasing what he thought to be a pint on the end of his aerobars.

Scherrit suggested doing that. It wasn't aero enough for my liking.

  • Especially Stuart Birnie winning with an incredible distance of 518 miles!

    Who? Never heard of him.
