Congratulations to Hippy.
I'm not amazed by this outcome, but it still had to be done...it's a great achievement..
I think this is the first national level success by a forum member.

Congratulations to all the riders. Especially Stuart Birnie winning with an incredible distance of 518 miles!

He was probably hallucinating by the end and was chasing what he thought to be a pint on the end of his aerobars.

My Powertap said 520 but I'd taken a few wrong turns so knew it would be less than this. Ultan and I were separated by mere minutes for the entire race - it was a pretty epic battle if I do say so myself. We pushed each other to the limit. I can barely walk, he seemed OK though I'm sure tomorrow will be 'fun'. Great event with cool supporters and riders.

Scherrit suggested doing that. It wasn't aero enough for my liking.

Who? Never heard of him.
Good luck. I was halfway to the Hounslow 25 this morning when the today programme reminded me that it is the 20th, not the 21st today.
