  • Boo, I have to miss the local TT tomorrow because of a work jolly.

    Drive home
    Smash TT
    Drive back to town
    Drink
    Drink
    Drink
    Crash on a mate's sofa
    Work.

  • I set all my PBs after all-night piss ups.. embrace the dehydration!

If you can drive about 200mi between the conference and the jolly then back again you're welcome to have a go. I have to be up there (keep forgetting where) for 11am then we're driving home on friday, time depending on the hangover

  • Train? Get someone else to drive? Don't go?

  • I don't want to go. But I have to to stay on the side of the manager. I didn't really know about it until monday then I find out there's a hotel room booked for me.

  • Any TTs near the conference?

  • No idea, I can't remember where it is

  • Need the info

Ie. the weight loss you get by being dehydrated

  • No man, it's the pounding headache that does it..

A riding mate of mine (back in the mtb days) once said that if people didn't ride because of hangovers, then no riding would ever get done. And they used to ride a LOT.

  • I can sympathise with that. For me riding with a hangover is like riding in the pissing rain.
You're the kind of person that does or you're not. #fishesanotherbeerfromdepthsoffridge

  • Did a 56:16 in the North Hampshire RC 25 but arrived late so am only credited with a 1:09:16
    Le sigh.

  • 23.52 in my club's open. Rather pleased

  • Using the following results from HCC234, work out what I would have done if I'd been there :-)

Would you like me to correct the forum BAR table, or will you do it?

Hah. Race for pink slips the MDCC medium gear champs?

  • I'll be on my 464 for that, and I still wouldn't put it up against your Vigorelli. Put MG on anyway, it will be interesting to see whether I can overcome the fact that I'll be gearing down by 28% from last Thursday, whereas you'll only be dropping about 10%. I hover around 27:00 for the MG race whatever bike I use,

  • I'll be rocking a 70 due to a lack of chainrings. Riding the RCC one on Tuesday?

  • Riding the RCC one on Tuesday?

No, I'm supposed to be racing on Monday late afternoon, can't do two days in a row at my age

  • I'll be rocking a 70 due to a lack of chainrings.

What chainring/sprocket/tyre combo are you using?

  • 48x18, 23c.

  • Got any decent 25c tyres laying around? That would get you up to 71.0"

  • Sadly not. I'm planning to ride drops and use nothing too aero, is this a bad idea?
